Story
This handsome fellow is Jackson! Jackson is an approximately 4 year old male Labrador mix and weighs around 70 lbs. He was rescued from a small rural shelter in Oklahoma. Jackson is so sweet and affectionate (maybe a little too affectionate for small children). He is a strong boy. He is such a goofy boy and just wants to love you! His best life would be with an active individual or family to help him burn energy and get his playfulness out, then he is a mellow boy ready to just relax and be by your side. Adequate exercise is essential for his success. He would be happy to run, walk or hike with you. Jackson plays with an assortment of dogs in doggy daycare, but a playful dog close to his size would be ideal. He loves to play with other dogs, but he is also very people orientated, so in the right situation (active home, with plenty of exercise), he would be fine as an only dog. He is crate-trained, keeps a clean kennel in boarding, and would do best with an Easy Walker type harness and leash. He rides very well in the car. Jackson is neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225. If you would like to adopt Jackson and make her a part of your family, please apply at FYDRadopt.com Since Jackson is in a boarding situation, he qualifies as a foster-to-adopt or just as a foster. If you are interested in fostering Jackson, contact Kim at kimforeveryoursokc@gmail.com

Story
This very good girl is Kate. Kate is an approximately 2 year old female mixed breed best guess is a Retriever mix of some sort. She weighs around 65 lbs. She was rescued from being chained under an old truck and had just given birth on the cold ground. She's a trooper and holds no grudges. She is the sweetest thing. Although she is on the bigger side she is very gentle. Great with kids, other dogs and cats. The perfect trifecta. She is a bit of an attention seeker and would love to be a lap dog. She currently sleeps with her foster mom and is a big snuggler. Kate needs a secure stockade fenced backyard. She would love another playful dog in the home, but given plenty of attention and exercise she could be adopted as an only dog. She is not destructive when left alone and is left uncrated with free reign when her foster family is gone. Kate is crate, house and leash trained. You can't go wrong choosing this amazing girl! She is spayed, current on vaccinations, current on heartworm preventative and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225. To adopt Kate, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply.

This sweet girl is Pumpkin! Pumpkin is an approximately 22-month old female Labrador / Shepherd mix who only weighs 37 lbs. She was rescued after giving birth in downtown Oklahoma City under a shed. Her puppies have found homes and now it's Pumpkin's turn! Pumpkin is very friendly and affectionate! She would love a home where she is included in activities and gets lots of love and attention. She is a loyal girl who will love you with all of her heart. She seems so grateful to off the streets and out of the weather. She is dog friendly and playful, so a playful dog in the home is required for her. She also needs a securely fenced back yard! Pumpkin loves toys and really wants to be a lapdog! Pumpkin is crated at times, but she is not destructive when left out. She is house-trained to a doggy door and is excellent on a leash. Story
This stunner is Raven! Raven is an approximately 2.5-year old female Border Collie/Labrador mix and weighs around 50 lbs. She was rescued from a local shelter. Raven is very playful, high-energy dog, who will need an active individual or family to give her plenty of exercise, physically and mentally. She is super smart and catches on to things quickly! She has even been through puppy training class, and we recommend continuing her training. Raven is unsure of people in public situations and will bark at strangers. Once she is in a home and comfortable, her affectionate and playful side comes out. She will make someone a very loyal and fun dog! She plays in group with an assortment of dogs. Raven has been around children in a previous foster home and did excellent. She has not been around cats and would probably not do well with them due to her energy. She is a great watch dog and protective of her people. Raven is crate, house, and leash trained. Raven is spayed, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $225. HOME CHECK REQUIRED. NEEDS A STOCKADE FENCE. Since Raven is in a boarding situation, she is eligible as a foster-to-adopt or just to foster. To adopt Raven, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application To foster Raven, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/foster-application.

Story
Lulu was born sometime in October 2021 and is a Labrador Shepherd mix. She has been recently spayed. I adopted Lulu from a Soldier in my Army unit in Texas in December 2022. His wife passed away, and the unit's leadership asked if anyone could take her in. The Army was allowing him to relocate to a base closer to his home in Florida to be closer to his family due to his loss, so that he couldn't take Lulu with him. She's a friendly, lovable girl who loves walks, barking at cats, and barking at strangers through the fence or gate. Her little brother is Oz, whom we adopted shortly after he was born in May 2023, so Lulu could have a playmate. He is an Australian Shepherd mix and has recently been neutered. We'd like if they could remain living together. They are both trained to sleep in a very large crate at night and when we're gone for short shopping trips around town. They have been exposed to children ages 8 and under, and will be fine after warming up for a while.
