Story
Caramel is a beautiful 4-year-old lab/hound mix. She has a lower energy level and enjoys bonding with the people she likes. So far at Four Footed Friends, we have found that Caramel tends to bond quickly with older people, and especially older women. If you are older and can give this sweet lady a slower, quiet life, she would be a fantastic dog companion and Caramel might be the perfect fit for you! She has some special needs that any potential owner would need to be prepared for. Caramel has a history of seizures and is currently taking medication to prevent more of them. She gets very protective over her belongings, food, and favorite people. She is an anxious girl, and we have found that in the kennel she has a hard time relaxing around so many other dogs. When outside she is great on a leash and settles down very quickly. We believe she would thrive in an environment where she can focus all her energy and love on one or two owners and not have to react to children or other dogs very often. If you think you can provide Caramel with a forever home, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or fourfootedfriends82@gmail.com. Story
Buddy is an inquisitive 5-year-old lab/hound mix. He absolutely loves to be outside, nose to the ground, exploring his surroundings. It takes some time for Buddy to get used to a person and he can be a really protective dog when it comes to those he is fond of. Once he gets to know you, Buddy loves to spend time with you. He is content to be around other dogs and loves to take a nap. He has the perfect energy balance of excitement when outside, but calm and quiet inside. Due to his protective nature, Buddy has a couple of biting incidents in his history. He would benefit from a force free trainer and leash training as well. If you think you can provide Buddy with a forever home, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or fourfootedfriends82@gmail.com. Story
Rocky & his running buddy, were left on the streets to fend for themselves. They had been wandering around that neighborhood for a while and befriended a kind business owner who made sure they did not go hungry. Thanks to that Good Samaritan who gained their trust, they were taken in & have been in foster care since. He has gained 20 pounds since then and is doing great! He is approx 3 years old & is fully vetted. As you can see in the video, he is a loving playful pup. Rocky is a completely gorgeous guy, both inside and out! He is full of love and is always in a carefree good mood. His furever family is going to be lucky beyond belief. If you are interested in learning more about this really sweet and deserving boy, please feel free to text or call Alecia Clark, @ 901-486-2850. We are a rescue organization located with our dogs in Tennessee and have weekly transport available for our pups to relocate up north with their new forever families. His adoption fee of $275 includes his vaccinations, neuter, microchip and his transport to his new furever home. Since a meet and greet is not possible prior to adoption, our adopters make their decision to adopt based on pictures, videos and talking to the foster parent. We will do everything possible to make sure he is the perfect match for you and your family & will be with you every step of the way.

Story
Isabella is a beautiful very sweet loving dog she has a lot of energy. To much for my senior dog. I believe with some training and some time she could be an excellent companion for somebody who has the time to invest with her. She is estimated at about a year and a half and has a lot of love to give. Someone who can commit and have patience with her. She is done very well with the house training so far. It would definitely be nice for her to have another companion. But a younger dog like her. I want to find her a loving home because she deserves it. She seems to want to Chase cats so I'm not sure she's the right fit if you have cats in the home. She is spayed up to date with all of her shots and very well groomed.

Story
Stella is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. A family observed Stella being pushed out of a vehicle and abandoned. They took her in and were planning on keeping her since she was such a great dog - being good with their dog, cats, and chickens. But their first dog did not like Stella so she had to go. Stella is microchipped and we discovered that she was adopted from a shelter in Greenville SC. The adopter moved to Texas and told us that they had "rehomed" her. Stella is a yellow lab/chow mix (she has the purple tongue of a chow) and she weighs 80+ pounds. The microchip data tells us that she is 6 years old. Stella is a very good dog. The people who found her say that Stella is fine with cats and chickens. She has no interest in them. Stella is house-trained and very well-behaved in the house. She will whine when she needs to go outside. Stella rides well in a vehicle, sits on command, and comes when called. She likes to go on walks (but pulls on the leash sometimes). So she could use some additional gentle obedience training. Stella has not shown any interest in toys or chew bones, but she loves treats. Stella loves to lay outside and likes searching for squirrels in the trees. She is also content to relax on her bed in the house and she loves pets, scratches, belly rubs, and human attention. Stella needs an experienced dog-savvy home. She will need a few days to learn to trust new people and unfamiliar situations but treats quickly make things better. We recommend that she only be around older children who know how to behave respectfully with dogs. Stella is great with small dogs. She has no fear of them and will simply ignore them and she will even play with some of them. But Stella is an alpha and will butt heads with any large dog that growls or otherwise challenges her. She is fine with easy-going dogs who are content to let her be the alpha. Stella is not food aggressive but expects a dog that is eating to surrender the food bowl when she walks up. So we just feed her separately. Stella would be okay as an only dog. Stella must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She needs to be walked on a leash and needs a securely fenced yard to sun herself and go potty. Stella is healthy. She is spayed and tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Stella is heartworm-negative and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Stella's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to the Pittsburgh area. Stella is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. I'm the result of a litter from an unspayed mom. Just a youngster that is wanting nothing more then a loving home. With Valentine's Day right around the corner, I would love to be your lil cupid, shooting my LOVE arrow right into your heart. I'm such a sweetie that it won't take long to have you wrapped right around my paw!! I'm only 7 months old, an active playful and adorable pup ready to have a blast with my new family. Let's get ready...for everything!! Neighborhood strolls, nature hikes, camping trips or trips to town, it's all fun stuff for me! I come in at about 38lbs and shouldn't get a whole lot bigger at my adult weight. What a pawsome size for all those fun activities and action packed adventures. But guess what? There's still plenty of room for you on the couch so we can get our snuggles on!! I've got a very sweet and submissive demeanor that will make for me being a great family addition!! I love people both tall and small and I do great with the other foster pups here. I'm working on my house training skills and am doing really good with it, knowing how to use the doggie door when I need to go out. Are you looking for the sweetness factor along with the energy level to keep up with all your activities? Oh my, you just found me! Hurry and fill out my adoption application so we can start having all that fun all the time!! These 2 brothers include - Jay and Bob
