Story
Buddy is an inquisitive 5-year-old lab/hound mix. He absolutely loves to be outside, nose to the ground, exploring his surroundings. It takes some time for Buddy to get used to a person and he can be a really protective dog when it comes to those he is fond of. Once he gets to know you, Buddy loves to spend time with you. He is content to be around other dogs and loves to take a nap. He has the perfect energy balance of excitement when outside, but calm and quiet inside. Due to his protective nature, Buddy has a couple of biting incidents in his history. He would benefit from a force free trainer and leash training as well. If you think you can provide Buddy with a forever home, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or fourfootedfriends82@gmail.com. You can also visit https://www.fourfootedfriends.org/ for more information on our organization and other pets we have available for adoption. Story
Meet Polly Meet Polly – A Resilient Lab Mix with a Heart of Gold! Polly is a sweet and lovable 4-year-old Lab mix, weighing around 60 lbs. Despite her tough start in life, this courageous girl has proven she’s a survivor. Polly beat the odds as a parvo survivor, overcoming a difficult battle with the help of round-the-clock care. Now fully healthy and ready for her forever home, Polly is looking for a family who will give her the love she deserves. This adorable lady is fantastic with other dogs and cats, and she absolutely loves playing with her furry friends. While she can be a little wary of strangers at first, her protective nature comes from her devotion to her humans. Polly might bark to let you know someone is near, but don’t let her loud voice fool you—she’s really a big teddy bear at heart. Polly has some small scars on her paws and legs, a reminder of her not-so-kind past. But she doesn’t let that hold her back. She knows how to sit, give both paws, and lay down. With some patience and practice, she’s sure to improve her leash manners too. Polly’s favorite activities include long walks, snuggling on the couch, playing with stuffed toys, and spending time with her family. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who has overcome the odds and is ready to love unconditionally, Polly is the perfect match. Apply to adopt Polly today and give this resilient girl the happy ending she’s been waiting for! Adoption application can be found here- https://airtable.com/shrAznkHf1ruIqQwq

Story
was cage kept and kept tightly on a chain the first 2 years of his life due to being the bigger dog in my grandmothers home. my grandmother has recently passed away and i am moving into my own apartment that doesn’t allow dogs bigger then 40lbs. otis is a sweet lovable dog with a lot of puppy energy he wasn’t able to get out due to his past living conditions. he is a really good dog, he has never caused me any issues, he isn’t the biggest fan of cats but he doesn’t have an issue with them as long as they don’t have an issue with him. he is 3 years old and was born on thanksgiving of 2021 from a lab and a pittbull that my aunt had bread. he is nutered, i’m not sure what shots he has if any, he is crate trained, leash trained(may tug a bit) house trained and potty trained(if he has to go he will go to the door). overall he is an amazing dog. i just want him to go to a home where he is loved and gets attention! someone take him home forever!:(
