Larry can be quite vocal and does not like to be in his crate, so a home that will give him lots of playtime and excercise will be required. Friendly, Independent, House-trained, Vaccinations up to date, neutered. Junior is a 9 yr lab mix 65lbs. Junior and another dog were left in a house by themselves for a year with former elderly owner feeding and watering once a day. She could no longer live in the house and was unable to take the dogs with her. Junior loves shredding his toys and getting the squeaker out, he loves the outside and going for walks. The rain and snow do not bother him at all. He rode well in the car going to the vet and was quite good in vet office. He is also comfortable without a lot of fuss and good at amusing himself. His housetraining is good as he goes out the doggie door and never made a mess inside. He is a very nice boy and deserves a loving home for the last years of his life. I rescued Jack about 3 years ago when I was in college. He is almost 5 years old! I’ve since had a very mobile life and wasn’t able to keep up and give Jack the life he deserves - especially being apartment bound. I had then moved him in with my Mom for her to take care of him with a yard and another dog to have as a friend. Due to me living out of town, plus my mom having difficulties maintaining the care of both dogs, we are looking to give Jack a new family. Jack is a very sweet dog who always keeps to himself. He does have a bit of separation anxiety so when leaving we always crate him to avoid any house accidents. When I rescued Jack we didn’t have any information about his past other than he was a stray. You can tell he’s sensitive to noise and certain actions but is always so sweet. Jack is never aggressive for any reason! Someone who loves dogs, stable livelihood, and ability to understand what Jack needs would be a perfect fit!

Tooty is a super friendly and affectionate dog to adults and kids and other dogs. She is about 2 1/2 years old and 60 pounds. She is energetic, excitable, and runs a lot! She still jumps a lot and, because she is 60 pounds, may not be suitable for households with children. From my experience, Tooty gets along with all dogs. However, she cannot cohabitate with cats. I have a large fenced in backyard and she loves to run and 'hunt' for small animals like shrews, moles, and chipmunks. She has a strong prey drive. She loves to chew on strong, hard Benebones. She likes to chew on small items around the house but doesn't chew on furniture. She is fully house-trained. There have been no incidents of peeing or pooping in the house.
