Story
If you’re looking for a fun, happy-go-lucky companion, Hero is your guy. Found as a stray in Alabama, this tall, lean sweetheart is now thriving in his foster home and making the most of every day. With his friendly nature and endless enthusiasm, Hero has never met a stranger—he greets everyone with a wagging tail and is always ready to roll over for a belly rub.Hero interacts politely with children at adoption events and is friendly and playful with other dogs. He isn’t very interested in cats; he may give a curious sniff at first, but quickly loses interest and moves on to more exciting adventures.Out in the yard, Hero loves to stretch those long legs—his foster mom says he looks like a graceful gazelle when he’s running, especially during his joyful zoomies. But this energetic boy also has a soft, cuddly side. After a good play session, he’s perfectly content to chill on the couch, curl up beside his humans, and soak up affection. This handsome boy enjoys car rides, loves going for walks, and could play fetch for as long as someone is willing to throw the ball.Weighing about 45 pounds, Hero is tall, slim, and full of life. His ideal home would be somewhat active and ready for a dog who loves adventure just as much as he loves companionship. He’d do well with other dogs, enjoys kids, and could also thrive as the only dog—as long as he gets to be part of the fun.Hero is young, energetic, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s best friend.
