Zoey is a gorgeous 2-year-old Black Labrador Retriever with a big heart to match her big, beautiful smile! Weighing about 85 pounds, she's a happy, affectionate girl who loves being with her people and is ready to find a family to call her own.
Zoey is friendly with other dogs and tolerates cats, making her a wonderful companion for many homes. She recently attended a horse show and had a great time taking in all the sights and meeting new people.
Because Zoey is athletic and can easily clear a 4-foot fence, shell need a home with a secure, tall fence to keep her safe. More than anything, though, she wants to be part of the family. She's not looking to spend her days alone in the backyard—she wants to be included in everyday life, enjoy training and adventures with her people, and, if she had her way, curl up at the foot of your bed each night.
Like any young Lab, Zoey will thrive with continued training, exercise, and plenty of love. She is eager to please and has all the potential to become an incredible lifelong companion.
Zoey also has a beautiful sister, Zena, who is looking for a home of her own. Zena weighs about 110 pounds, so if you're looking for a larger companion, be sure to ask about her as well!

Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you.
The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter.

Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have.
NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption.
If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement.
