Story
Fiona and her sister, Erin, lost their family in a house fire. They and another dog survived. They are typical resilient lab puppies with all the love and happy-go-lucky energy that comes with them. Both are confident and are learning manners and basic commands. They do well in busy social settings, walk well on a leash and love people of all ages. They think all dogs are their playmates, seem mildly interested in cats, and adore children! They would love an active home with a fenced yard where they could run out their zoomies! They are crate-trained and travel well. Est. DOB Sept. 2024 WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $490 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

Story
Duke was surrendered by his elderly owner through no fault of his own. He is 5 yrs old and 64lbs and would love to make friends with your playful dog! Duke is your typical, active lab. He loves just about all humans, but can be choosy about his dog friends, seemingly preferring larger, lower energy dogs. He does fairly well on leash but could use some impulse-control training. He currently lives with a few other dogs and with human children. He would love a large yard and a larger-breed dog sibling to play with. We are re-evaluating a medical condition, so Duke may need periodic medication. WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $310 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. Story
Introducing our Christmas Litter — four tiny miracles who survived more than any puppy ever should. 🎄❤️ These babies were found as strays in a very rural part of South Carolina and brought into a shelter that is heartbreakingly overwhelmed. Kennels are quadrupled up, dogs are being housed outside, and these little ones simply didn’t stand a chance. So we stepped in, scooped them up, and found them incredible foster homes where they’ve been safe, warm, and oh-so-loved. At just 8 weeks old, they’ve already blossomed into the sweetest, happiest bunch. They’re learning how to be real puppies — playing, snuggling, exploring, and soaking up every ounce of affection they can get. We’re calling them “super mutts”… maybe some pittie in there, maybe a mix of holiday magic. Either way, they’re perfect. ❤️ There are four total, and Jingles is the only little boy among the group — a jolly little guy living up to his festive name. These puppies are now ready to head to their forever homes, where they can spend their first Christmas surrounded by love instead of uncertainty. If you’re ready to give one of these sweet babies a holiday miracle of their own, apply to adopt on our website! 🎅🏼🐾
We'll also keep you updated on Jingles 's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Meet Zeke — our gorgeous, two-year-old Shepherd/Aussie mix who has been patiently waiting for his forever family. 🖤✨ Zeke came to us from our rural shelter partner several weeks ago, and since then he has truly thrived in his foster home. This boy is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and has that classic working-breed heart that wants nothing more than to bond with his people and make them proud. Zeke is fully crate trained, does wonderfully with all people, and is absolutely obsessed with other dogs. He greets every new pup with a wagging tail and an open heart, and he gains so much confidence from being around dog friends. While he can get a little anxious in brand-new environments, once he has a moment to take it all in, he settles beautifully and becomes the sweetest, happiest guy in the room. And yet… he keeps getting overlooked. Like so many black-coated dogs, Zeke is a victim of Black Dog Syndrome, where dogs with darker fur are often passed by simply because of their color. It breaks our hearts, because Zeke is pure sunshine on the inside — gentle, affectionate, goofy, and endlessly loyal. He has been one of our longer-term dogs, and we cannot understand why. He is the full package: smart, loving, trainable, great with dogs and people, and ready to be someone’s adventure buddy and best friend. Zeke is so deserving of a family who will finally see him for the incredible dog he is. If you’ve been looking for a loyal, devoted companion to brighten your days, this sweet boy is waiting with his whole heart. 🐾💛 #adopt #adoptdontshop #rescue #rescuedog #rescuedoglove

Story
Here are polished bios for **Branch** and **Rudy**, warm, clear, and adoption-ready:---### **Branch – Bio**Meet Branch — a sweet, easygoing pup who’s as steady and lovable as his name suggests. He’s gentle, friendly, and always up for exploring the world with you, whether that’s a stroll downtown or a quiet morning at a coffee shop. Branch has great leash manners, is fully potty trained, and already knows how to sit. He’s a big fan of toys, treats, and especially a good game of fetch. After a day of fun, he’s happiest curling up for some cozy downtime. Branch is the perfect blend of playful and calm, ready to slip right into your life and become your new favorite companion.---### **Rudy – Bio**Here`s Rudy! A playful, treat-loving pup with a goofy streak and a heart of gold. Tug-of-war is his absolute favorite, and he’ll happily grab a toy and invite you into the fun. Though he can be a little shy at first, Rudy warms up quickly and shows his sweet, affectionate side. He’s curious, energetic, and always ready to learn (he already knows how to sit!). When he’s not playing, he loves a soft place to nap and a human to lean on. Rudy is looking for a home where he can feel safe, loved, and included in all the good moments. Bring Rudy home and add some extra joy and play to your days. You can find this handsome boy at Charleston Animal Society on Remount Road in North Charleston!
