Story
Meet Zeke — our gorgeous, two-year-old Shepherd/Aussie mix who has been patiently waiting for his forever family. 🖤✨ Zeke came to us from our rural shelter partner several weeks ago, and since then he has truly thrived in his foster home. This boy is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and has that classic working-breed heart that wants nothing more than to bond with his people and make them proud. Zeke is fully crate trained, does wonderfully with all people, and is absolutely obsessed with other dogs. He greets every new pup with a wagging tail and an open heart, and he gains so much confidence from being around dog friends. While he can get a little anxious in brand-new environments, once he has a moment to take it all in, he settles beautifully and becomes the sweetest, happiest guy in the room. And yet… he keeps getting overlooked. Like so many black-coated dogs, Zeke is a victim of Black Dog Syndrome, where dogs with darker fur are often passed by simply because of their color. It breaks our hearts, because Zeke is pure sunshine on the inside — gentle, affectionate, goofy, and endlessly loyal. He has been one of our longer-term dogs, and we cannot understand why. He is the full package: smart, loving, trainable, great with dogs and people, and ready to be someone’s adventure buddy and best friend. Zeke is so deserving of a family who will finally see him for the incredible dog he is. If you’ve been looking for a loyal, devoted companion to brighten your days, this sweet boy is waiting with his whole heart. 🐾💛 #adopt #adoptdontshop #rescue #rescuedog #rescuedoglove

Story
These sweet babies came to us from one of our rural shelter partners in South Carolina, alongside their mama. She had done her job — and she was done. These puppies needed a safe place to land, because being alone in a shelter was never an option for them. Thankfully, an amazing foster stepped up, and the rest is history. 💫 For the past few weeks, these pups have been growing, decompressing, and learning what it means to feel safe inside a home. And now? They are beyond ready to find their forever families. We have them listed as some type of Lab mixes… but if we’re being honest, they’re probably just super mutts — maybe a little bully breed, maybe a little this and that. What we do know for sure is that they are incredibly sweet, gentle souls. These aren’t your typical wild, chaotic puppies. They’re on the shy side, very quiet, and happiest when they’re cuddled up together or snoozing in a puppy pile. They love to snuggle, love comfort, and love peace. 💤🤍 They’re the kind of pups who will thrive with patience, love, and a soft place to land. We also want to talk about something real — black dog syndrome. Black dogs and puppies are often overlooked in shelters simply because they don’t photograph as easily or get passed over for lighter-colored pups. And yet, time and time again, they are some of the most loyal, loving, incredible companions. These babies deserve the same chance as any other puppy — not to be seen last, but to be chosen first. They’re going to make amazing pets for any type of family — families with kids, other dogs, or those just looking for a quiet, loving companion. All they need is someone willing to see past their color and straight into their hearts. 📩 If you’re ready to give one of these precious pups a forever home, please reach out or apply today. Let’s make sure these babies don’t get overlooked.

Story
This beautiful, adult, neutered boy is all the best parts of a Lab—happy, playful, loving, and full of puppy-like energy. He’s super, super sweet and truly loves everyone he meets. Once he warms up, he’s all wags, smiles, and gentle affection. It’s clear this guy had a lonely start and likely spent some time as a stray, so he can be a bit shy when meeting new people. When he’s feeling scared, he may have some fearful urination—not because he isn’t potty-trained (he appears to be otherwise!), but because he’s still learning that he’s safe. With patience, consistency, and kindness, his confidence will grow. A belly band can be a helpful short-term tool while he settles in. He is also not used to being in cars and may get car-sick on the way home. He does well with other dogs. This sweet boy is looking for a calm, understanding home that’s willing to give him time, reassurance, training, and lots of love in return for his endless affection. If you’re looking for a loyal, joyful companion and have a soft spot for dogs who just need a little extra reassurance, this lovable Lab may be your perfect match.

Story
Once upon a time… in the woods of very rural South Carolina, this fairytale almost had a heartbreaking ending. 💔 Meet Snow White and her slightly short-staffed crew of dwarves. We have one princess and six dwarves—Sleepy, Bashful, Happy, Dopey, Sneezy, and Doc. Yes… we’re aware there are supposed to be seven dwarves. 😂 Our best guess? One got lost on the way, stopped for snacks, or is still off mining somewhere. These seven precious babies were found dumped and living outside, surviving in the woods in a pile of trash. With the dangerous freezing temperatures that were about to hit the northern part of South Carolina, these puppies would not have survived. They would have frozen, and their story would have ended before it ever really began. Thankfully, because of fast action and an incredible rescue village, we were able to pull 12 dogs before the freeze—12 lives saved, including this sweet little fairytale crew. We cannot say thank you enough to our fosters and supporters who opened their homes, rearranged their lives, and said “yes” when these dogs needed them most. You are the reason these babies are safe, warm, and alive today. ❤️ Snow White and her six dwarves are estimated to be around 8 weeks old. They are super fluffy, playful, and full of puppy joy. They’ve already seen our vet, received their first round of vaccines, started on prevention, and been dewormed. We’re guessing they’re Lab / Shepherd mixes, but with no mom around, that’s just our best educated guess. Now these once-forgotten puppies are cozy, cared for, and ready to find their happily ever after. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to adopt, foster, or share—this is it. 🐾✨ Snow White, Sleepy, Bashful, Happy, Dopey, Sneezy, and Doc are available for adoption and ready to turn someone’s life into a real-life fairytale. 💫
