Story
My adoption fee has been sponsored by a good Samaritan. Meet Tilly! This darling little lady is waiting so patiently for a kind and loving family to scoop her up and give her all the love in the world. Tilly can be really shy at first, but once she warms up she has the silliest personality and is just waiting to be loved. Tilly loves to tuck herself into a blanket burrito for naps and she has the sleekest, softest fur coat. Once she knows her people, she is quick to learn and eager to please. She would prefer to be the baby of the house while she is adjusting to her new life, but she would also do well with a dog that will just give her her space and not overwhelm her. Tilly is a timid lady, but she has so much love and joy to share, she just needs someone to help give her the chance to grow into her best, most confident self! Tilly recently went on a sleepover and this is what her foster said about her: We had the BEST time with Tilly! She was playful with the kids and so gentle! She also loved to take naps & snuggle. She LOVES going on walks and being outside, sniffs everything! She does excellent with the leash. She didn’t bark at all. She did want to chase squirrels, lizards, stray cats & frogs. Tilly would freeze & stare at other dogs on the walks. She never barked and we easily were able to get her to move along. She was not a big fan of water- we tried a sprinkler & the hose. She also didn’t love the frozen lick mat- it seems like she will eat ice but other than that does NOT like cold things. She did seem scared of the crate so we didn’t even use it. Every evening around 9p she would lay down & nap then go to bathroom outside around 11p-12a then sleep 6-7hrs straight before wanting to go outside to bathroom again. She is definitely house trained! We did try to teach her sit- sometimes successful!Interested in Tilly? Come by CAS today and let staff know!

Meet Ketchup! 🍅❤️ Ketchup is around 3½ months old and is more than ready to find the forever family she’s been waiting for! This sweet girl came to us from one of our rural shelter partners after she and her brother, Mayonnaise, were found as strays. While we’ll probably never know exactly what breeds make up this adorable pup, her beautiful coloring has us wondering if she might have a little Border Collie in the mix. Whatever her breed, we know one thing for sure—she’s an incredible puppy. Ketchup is full of personality! She’s playful, spunky, and absolutely loves other dogs. She’s thriving in her foster home, where she’s learning all about what it’s like to be a loved family dog, and she’s soaking up every minute of it. She’s also been a star at every adoption event she’s attended, including the Charleston RiverDogs game! Ketchup loves meeting new people, enjoys new adventures, and charms everyone she meets with her sweet, happy personality. She’s the kind of puppy who is always ready to play, but she’s just as happy soaking up affection after a busy day. Ketchup has so much love to give and is ready to spend the rest of her life with a family of her very own. If you’ve been looking for a fun, loving, and well-rounded puppy to add to your family, Ketchup just might be your perfect match. Apply to foster or adopt today and help this sweet girl find the forever home she deserves! ❤️🐾

Meet Angus! 🤎🤍 With his adorable speckled coat and sweet little face, it’s no surprise everyone says he looks like a tiny cow! Angus came to us from one of our rural shelter partners after being found as a stray. While we may never know his story, we know his future deserves to be filled with love. Angus is around 4½ months old and is the sweetest boy. He can be a little shy when meeting new people and other dogs but it doesn’t take long before his playful, loving personality starts to shine. He absolutely loves with his whole heart and would thrive in a home with a canine friend to help show him the ropes. Whether he’s romping around with his dog buddies or soaking up affection from his people, Angus is happiest just being part of the fun. This handsome boy is ready to leave shelter life behind and start his next chapter. He’s looking for either a foster family or, even better, a forever home where he can continue to grow into the amazing dog we know he’s going to be. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle pup with the cutest little “cow” spots around, Angus might just be your perfect match. 🐾❤️ To foster or adopt Angus, apply through our website!

Meet Catfish! ⚓️🐾 At just 10 weeks old, Catfish is ready to find the forever family he’s been waiting for! Catfish came to us from one of our rural shelter partners after a very difficult start to life. When he first arrived, he was incredibly sick and needed extensive medical care, endless TLC, and a foster who refused to give up on him. There were moments when we weren’t sure what the outcome would be, but thanks to his amazing foster and lots of love, this little fighter made a remarkable comeback. Today, Catfish is healthy, happy, and full of life. He loves splashing around in the water, playing with toys and his dog friends, and when he’s all tuckered out, there’s nothing he enjoys more than cuddling up on the couch with his favorite people. He’s soaking up everything foster life has to offer, working on all the important puppy skills, and is ready to continue learning with a family of his own. Watching Catfish grow from a sick, fragile baby into the playful, affectionate puppy he is today has been an incredible journey. Now all he’s missing is a family to call his own. If you’ve been thinking about adding a fun-loving, snuggly best friend to your crew, this is your sign. Catfish is ready to set sail into his forever home. Could he be your newest best friend? ❤️⚓
