Story
Fiona and her sister, Erin, lost their family in a house fire. They and another dog survived. They are typical resilient lab puppies with all the love and happy-go-lucky energy that comes with them. Both are confident and are learning manners and basic commands. They do well in busy social settings, walk well on a leash and love people of all ages. They think all dogs are their playmates, seem mildly interested in cats, and adore children! They would love an active home with a fenced yard where they could run out their zoomies! They are crate-trained and travel well. Est. DOB Sept. 2024 WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $490 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

Story
Duke was surrendered by his elderly owner through no fault of his own. He is 5 yrs old and 64lbs and would love to make friends with your playful dog! Duke is your typical, active lab. He loves just about all humans, but can be choosy about his dog friends, seemingly preferring larger, lower energy dogs. He does fairly well on leash but could use some impulse-control training. He currently lives with a few other dogs and with human children. He would love a large yard and a larger-breed dog sibling to play with. We are re-evaluating a medical condition, so Duke may need periodic medication. WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. Story
Cletus is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever had. He is house trained and has not growled a or snapped at anyone ever. Great with children. We have a cat that he is friends with. We lost our elder dog a couple of months ago and he has not taken it well. He has separation anxiety. My schedule is very busy and I cannot give him the companionship he deserves. He would be wonderful for a retired person who is home most of the time and would love to have a well trained buddy. He retrieves and just loves to hang out. He is scared of fireworks and gunshots, so around the 4th and New Year’s we crate him when we are not home, which he will walk straight into when you ask him. If for any reason it doesn’t seem to be a good fit, I will happily take him back until we find the right home.

Story
My name is Tula and I was born 10/28/2025. I am full of energy and love to run and play. My current mom has a bunch of grandkids from ages 6months to 12 years and I play with all of them. I am very careful around the younger ones, but they are my favorite because they always have food that I like to steal. The big kids and I like to run and I always seem to beat them. Hehe. My current mom is always working so I don’t get to go out much. I would love to have a family that can take me out. I also have not been to school yet because she works too much. So I would really like to learn new stuff. I am potty trained and I am crate trained. Though my mom calls it “Kennel”. From current mom: Tula is an ideal puppy she needs lots of training. She’s very smart. And is good with other dogs. I also have a bearded dragon that she is curious about. She would be a great addition to a family with kids and with training she would be even better.

Story
Great dog. She will be 1 on 10/28. She is lovable and wants to please. Fast and energetic. food motivated. knows basic commands. she will make a great pet for someone wiyh patience and expierence. she is eager to learn. she loves kids. no expierence with cats. my current dog is too protective of me and for that i cant say she is great with dogs. she was good at the dog park the last time i took her. we havent went in a while because my other dog got sick from the park. i believe as long as someone who would love to train her and know how to teach her to be around other dogs, then she would be great. unfortunately my current dog was not a great role model. i dont thinkit is fair for tula to be this way. i dont have the heart to give her to the pound.
