Story
I’m needing to rehome my sweet rescue because a grandchild (whom I care for on a very regular basis) has developed severe allergies. Peachy was three in April. I have had her a little over a year. She is, best guess, a Lab/Husky mix. She’s about 70 lbs but could stand to lose a few! She’s housebroken and crate trained but generally doesn’t use the crate. She is very excited to see people and jumps upon greeting folks if she can get away with it but this would be her only “bad habit” and she settles down after she says hello. Because of this, she may be better suited for older children but younger would not be out of the question. She settled and was okay around my 3/4 year old grandchildren. She walks well on a leash but pulls when passing other dogs because she wants to play. She loves playing with other dogs. Her interaction with cats is unknown. She is a giant snuggler and sweetheart who loves everybody. She loves activity but has settled into a quiet life as well. She does enjoy b

Story
Chocolate lab - pure bred. Owned since 8 weeks old. June 2018 birth making her 6 y/o. Spayed in August 2023. Up to date on Rabies vaccination. Never been boarded so did not really do many other shots. Has recent negative heartworm test and is on preventative. Flea and tick prevention as well. Roughly 65 lbs. she is energetic and loyal. She does bark a lot when visitors come. She seems to be uncomfortable with teenage boys for some reason- once she gets to know you, she is as sweet as can be but takes a while to warm up to strangers. Lives with another dog and gets along great. Food obsessed.

NOT 1 APPLICATION... How? Please share to help Joe. Someone wneeds to give him a chance. They will see this loving, goofy boy who is just scared to be hurt again. Imagine being Joe... Once in a home then the next minute in a highly rural shelter. Then almost a year later, yes a year, you are still in foster care!! Unfortunately a few foster homes since no one ever plans on fostering for that long...so you go where you are asked to go. Not 1 application. Not 1 click on petfinder. Still searching for love & his human A YEAR LATER. at the photos!!!!! Joe is who he is. He would rather sunbathe for hours and tan his golden skin than do any type of crazy leash activity, like walking!! Joe is just that dog who is amazing in a house, and one with a backyard. He's just unsure of the world when he goes outside (and in a way we can't blame him). He's a homebody. He's good with dogs. He will flinch if you pet him sometimes. He is who he is which is a big cuddle bear with a tongue that hangs out every chance it can. He's crate trained. He just is leash reactive but with a patient home, that could change. Who is a good match? - A retiree - A stay at home couple - A person who needs a companion to be home with - A home with a fenced in yard Apply to adopt rosierescue.org

Story
Isn't she lovely Noel our 6-month-pup is here and we are the blessed ones to have saved her, as her life was worth it a million times over. Noel has endured so much in such her short life. This sweet pup arrived at a rural shelter with a fracture so bad, she was likely hit by a car. Given her age and the break, the decision was made to amputate her back leg. While that is a terrible past to have experienced, this girl is SO resilient and happy, she is a true testament to a lesson for us all. From her foster: "Noel is about as sweet as they come, a very happy puppy. She does not let her setback get in her way of doing all things that dogs do - running, playing, jumping. She is very submissive and loves to be with her human. She has quickly adapted to her three foster dog and cat siblings and loves to play with all of them. She is just the right amount of energy and loves to chill when it's time to chill. Noel is potty, trained and crate trained. BONUS!!!! Recap: - Dog friendly - Cat friendly - Kid friendly - Fully vetted - And ready to go!! Noel is ready for a home to call her own. To adopt, fill out an application at rosierescue.org.

Story
Name: HUSHPUPPY Gender: Female Estimated Age: 3yrs Estimated Weight: 43lbs Hushpuppy is a very loving girl, she wants to be by your side constantly. She loves to cuddle in bed with her legs up in the air. She does well with small dogs and cats. The current foster has very confident cats who don't run at the sight of a dog, however, if the cats do get the zoomies Hushpuppy does get a bit excited and try to chase. So would do best in a home with chill and confident cats. She likes to play and would benefit from a dog her size to play with. She is very very smart and is eager to please, just needs more time and intentional training. She would do best with a household who is home majority of the time. Hushpuppy does well on a leash! Very chill, with little to no pulling.

Story
Meet Drew Been in foster for a few months. Gained weight. Healthy. Safe. Happy. Loving. Sweet. A Cuddle Bug. DESPITE it all, this is Drew. He doesn't bark, he's incredibly happy doing whatever his people are doing. LOVES other dogs, enjoys a warm bath (has to be removed from it ), has incredible recall. Doesn't bother cats. Walks right with his people without a leash. Loves his crate. When he gets left outside, he just lies down and hangs out until someone lets him in. He really is the perfect dog. He's come SUCH a long way from day one. A truly remarkable, loving soul. Are you his human? Meet him. rosierescue.org
