Story
Meet Paris- Paris was surrendered to us on 5-2-2024, Thankfully, she came with some paperwork from her adoption at young Williams from years ago. The original adopter was in the nursing home at time of surrender ( owner did not surrender). Once we spoke with owner on the phone, we verified that the person on the phone was indeed the owner, we made a promise to not adopt her out. The owner would be adopting her back.. we understood the situation, so we kept her at the rescue and had her in foster care off and on. We took Paris to see her human for visits and had phone calls and a few emails with their caretaker. Upon an email, we were told that the owner has decided to fully relinquish the rights of ownership and does not want her back at all. This is very sad and breaks our hearts every day, because she deserves to be in a home environment that will fit her needs! Upon learning more about her, we have discovered that she was diagnosed with cushings in August of 2022, and also has arthritis. >>>>Her ideal place where she can relax and enjoy her days, would be quiet, calm and somewhere that has no steps. A ramp would be best. She will need help getting into a vehicle for appointments once a month to get to her vet for a librela shot. Paris is also on a compound medication that is given at breakfast and supper as well as 1 Dasuquin at breakfast. she loves to lay beside you on the floor and under your desk while you work! We are not sure how much she has left in her, however, she is still eating fine, drinking fine and seems to be enjoying life to the fullest! You will notice that her her legs are "bent" a little more than normal and that is from the cushings taking its toll. Think of it like you always pulling your hand backwards to your arm and keeping it there all the time...the pressure you feel, is what she feels all the time! She still likes to go for short walks ( she begs to go out to the play yard for her daily strolls ). We are searching for either a forever foster or someone that would like to adopt her and give her the best life she can possibly have. ______________________ Her diet is: Purina one adult her medication Dasuquin _______________________ Her vet for most of her life has been and still is: Monroe County Animal Hospital in Sweetwater, TN _______________________ Her routine is: eat between 7-8 am and 7-8pm lounge around and get up to go the restroom and do a slow walk around the yard and maybe lay out when its nice outside *****Please reach out to us for ANY questions about this gal!****** our website is www.woofwooffosters.org Thank You !!

Story
🐾🖤 Meet England — A Smart, Sensitive Girl Looking for the Right Person 🖤🐾 This beautiful black-and-white sweetheart is England, a young adult pup who has been through far more than any dog should. She was left behind in an apartment and arrived frightened, unsure, and trying hard to make sense of her new world. England isn’t a beginner’s dog — and that’s okay. She needs someone patient, experienced, and willing to move at her pace. Underneath her worry is a dog who wants to trust… she just needs someone who knows how to guide her gently and confidently. 💛 What England needs: • An experienced adopter or foster • A calm, predictable home • Someone who understands fearful or shutdown dogs • Patience, structure, and slow introductions • A person who believes in second chances England is not aggressive — she’s scared. And dogs like her often form the strongest, most loyal bonds once they feel safe. If you have experience with shy or under-socialized dogs and you’re looking for a dog who truly needs you, England could be your heart project — and your greatest reward. 🖤 📍 Currently at Monroe County Friends of Animals 💙 View all adoptables: mcfriendsofanimals.org If you have the heart and the skill to help England shine, please come meet her. She deserves a gentle hand and a new beginning. 🐾

Story
☃️ Chloe — The Season’s Sweetest Greeter ☃️Chloe is a 2-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who brings pure holiday magic everywhere she goes. She greets everyone with a merry little “awoo,” like a caroler arriving at your doorstep. And if fetch were a Christmas tradition, she’d celebrate it year-round—nothing makes her tail jingle faster.Chloe likes to be the star atop the tree when it comes to other dogs, but with a proper introduction, she’s happy to share the holiday spirit. She’s wonderfully gentle with kids, treating them with the same care you’d give a fragile ornament. Story
Almost Home believes that every animal deserves a loving home regardless of appearance, age, or physical limitation.  We have come together to give animals in need the safe and happy life they all deserve.  Almost Home Animal Rescue believes that no animal is expendable.  Adopting a friend:The animals, lucky enough to find refuge with Almost Home, are all in loving foster homes. If you are interested in the possibility of giving one of the animals a new lease on life, please contact us. The contact information is listed at the end of each biography.  What you need to do to adopt:If you would like to adopt a pet in need from Almost Home, basically, an application must be filled out. We will check two personal references and a vet reference. If you are approved for adoption, there is a trial period of about one week to make sure this is the animal for you and you are the person for the animal. Along with the trial period, a contract must be signed that basically states that if ever you cannot keep the animal that you must return the animal to Almost Home. Last but not least, a home check will be done. Meet & Greets:An approved application is required. This does not mean that you have to adopt but that you are approved to do so if everything works out. Since we are foster based, this limits the amount of people coming to our homes.  Hi, I’m Tigger and I’m just a little guy with shiny black fur and a bright white chest & toes. I'm four months old and 22 pounds. I'm a Lab, American Staffordshire terrier and Patterdale terrier. I'll end up being the perfect size and probably around 40 lbs. How cool is that? But inside my little chest beats a heart that believes in magic. I think about it every night when I curl up to sleep at the shelter. In my dreams, I’m not here. Instead, I’m in a warm house with soft blankets that smell like love. I hear laughter that sounds like music, and I feel gentle hands scratching behind my ears. Someone calls my name—Tigger!—like it’s the best word they’ve ever spoken. When I wake up, I’m still here… but my tail keeps wagging. Because I believe one day that dream will come true. I don’t know why I ended up in this place, but I know this: I love people with my whole little heart. I’ll follow you from room to room, sit in your lap like I was born to be there, and look at you with eyes that say thank you a thousand times over. Spoil me, love me, keep me safe, and I’ll spend forever proving you were right to choose me. Until then, I’ll keep dreaming. But maybe you’re the one who can make sure I don’t have to dream anymore. Love,Tigger *Guest Posting* If you have any questions, please contact her foster via text at 865-659-9894 or email sabrinahuffstetler @gmail.com.ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for a cat is $85. The adoption fee for a kitten is $100. The adoption fee does include the kittens being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. The adoption fee for a dog is $200. The adoption fee for a puppy is $250. The adoption fee does include the puppies being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. Mature pet adoption fees are sometimes reduced. The adoption fee for pure bred dogs and cats will vary due to health and age of pet. This helps support our ill animals and our mutts that get left in the system longer. We do reserve the right to change the fees higher or lower due to the circumstance of the animal but what was stated above are the usual adoption fees.  Microchipped pets will have a higher adoption fee.  Our adoption fees do not cover the cost of the vetting and care the animal has received with us and if it ever does, the money just goes back it to helping other animals in need. October 20, 2025, 10:37 pm
