Duke is an amazing dog. He has been part of our family for 7 going on 8 years. He was a rescue from a dog fighting ring as a puppy. We relocated to Nashville from California and have a smaller property than before. Duke has started to become aggressive with several dogs in our neighborhood and has bitten 2 of them recently. Duke has become quite anxious living amongst all the kids and dogs in our new neighborhood. We feel Duke needs more space in order to really relax. In this space we are worried for the safety of other dogs and kids. All said, Duke is a lover, handsome dog, and easy to accommodate. A true friend. We would be an excellent dog for the right owner. It’s hard to let go of Duke- but he needs something different than we can offer to thrive.

We acquired Duke 8 years ago. He was a puppy that our friend rescued from a dog fighting ring and we have loved him ever since. We had a bigger property before we recently move and he was calm and at piece. Because of work, we no live on a smaller property ( no backyard practically) and Duke has gotten very anxious. Recently in the last two weeks he has bitten dogs three times in our neighborhood- we have three kids and another dog- we feel Duke needs more attention and more space to live. It’s quite sad because we loge Duke- but he’s not adapting to the new neighborhood and is filled with anxiety. We can’t risk Dukes behavior going sideways on another dog , kid or person in this neighborhood. All said- he’s an amazing dog in so many ways. Well trained and full of love and licks.

Story
Kenzey is a 6yo female. We think she is chocolate lab and something else. We adopted her as a puppy from a rescue. She is a beautiful chocolate color, gorgeous eyes, and loves to cuddle. She’s house trained but she stays outside in a fenced yard most of the time. We don’t keep her crated while at work as she has a yard to play in. The only reason we are having to re-home is that she has recently started not getting along with our other dog even though they have been raised together. She hasn’t been around cats or other smaller animals so we aren’t sure of the reaction there. She’s been great with our daughter and never had any aggressiveness towards people. Up to date on all vet checks, heart worm prevention, and healthy. If any questions, we are happy to answer them.
