Baxter is a total doll. He and his sibling were dumped at our rescue...they are social and so sweet. Baxter is all puppy but he is ready to have you teach him how to be the best boy he can be. He is crate, and potty trained. His life took a little turn at Christmas time when he was stepped on by a cow (yes his fosters have cows :), he had a tail and pelvic injury that required his tail to be amputated and he had to recover. WELL he HAS recovered :) He is ready for his furever home and boy will you LOVE this boy!! While he was recovering from his injuries he became the bestest pup you could imagine! owner surrender,This baby cried for months for his owner, it was the saddest dog ever....He orig lived indoors, reports say he kills birds. Wont share food sources. Nice dog, likes other little dogs but is food agressive when other animals are around. He came in very thin.....He is leash trained but should be only dog when food is out to be safe although he does best with the smaller dogs here and is only reactive with food available or if another dog comes to fence line. Most he is ok with, two of the other males here he is not friendly with thru the fencing.( He really is a sweet dog )who was loved very much by the young person who had him his first 4 years or so. then he was abducted for several months with someone who starved him and kept him on an apt balcony....We rescued him from the balcony. Please consider this boy! He is also crate trained now, prefers outside but will come in to play and be crated to eat.

Totally a coincidence but I am as fast as the cars at Bristol Motor Speedway. My favorite thing to do is play fetch and I will play for as long as you are able to throw the ball and ALWAYS bring the ball back to you. I was rescued by Critter Cavalry from an Arkansas shelter and so very thankful to be in Tennessee. I have the best foster home with two foster brothers who are twice my size and I love to wrestle with them. I have more confidence when I have other dogs to show me how to be a dog. I am a little slow to warm up to new people and do not need an extremely active home with a lot of different people coming and going. Once I get to know you after a few days I will never leave your side! I am very well behaved inside the house, I am crate trained, house-trained, quiet, and would make the perfect work from home buddy - I have been keeping my foster mom company by napping next to her desk all day. I would do great in a home with adults only or a family with older children. A canine companion would be great but I'm also willing to take all the attention for myself if I'm the only dog. BUT did I mention the ball. I do need someone that likes ball as much as I do and a fenced in yard is a MUST. I warm up to women first, but after a few days, men are ok too. I just did not have a very good beginning to my short life. If you are patient and looking for a great companion, then you have found her in me. I am spayed and current on all my shots.
