Story

Lady Kate is a precious 4-month old rescued Lab mix girl puppy that is so beautiful and oh so very sweet and loving. She was taken from a sad situation where she was born and kept outside in the elements with not much covering for her to stay out of the cold. She was never kept in side with her 8 siblings. Now she is warm and cozy in a foster home with an experienced and trained foster couple. This senior couple is giving them the best of training, love and getting everyone the proper vaccines and spay and neuter surgery. Princess Kate is ready with all her vetting to make her way to a new family that will provide her with a wonderful home with a full yard to play in and lots of activities to keep her mind and body stimulated. As of March 14th, she is a 17-pound bundle of puppy energy and kisses. She loves to run and jump, and would probably be great at catching frisbees! Kate would love having a family with kids she could chase, play fetch and wrestle with. Princess Kate is crate-trained, meaning she keeps her crate clean and dry all through the night. Her crate is a comfort zone for sleeping at night and resting during the day. If her parents aren’t home, she’s safely in her crate. She will soon be totally housebroken with just a little more time of knowing a schedule. She’s still a baby, but she’s very smart. Kate needs a fur-ever family to be with, to learn from, to nurture and polish her into the black nugget of puppy gold that we know she already is. She was rescued for a special reason and we know it will be to bless a person or family who is looking for a special loving dog to spend their years with. These beautiful black Lab mix puppies that weigh 6-9 pounds at the time they were abandoned are called the Drive By Driveway Orphans. Five pretty little puppies that were carelessly thrown away like unwanted trash. The puppies were just standing there in this country home’s driveway on a rainy cold morning during the tornado events that Middle Tennessee repeatedly struggled to endure. Wet and bloated with tummies full of worms, these babies were sweetly scooped up by a guardian family who wrung their hands to get them safe and over to a vet immediately. Soon their concerns on health were settled and taken care of and together the family is working with Critter Cavalry Rescue to find them other fosters and also forever homes. They appear to be 5 weeks old and just the sweetest little snuggle babies. We need other fosters to help with this crew of Lab mix puppies. They are small and happy and need some good one on one that the current foster mom cannot give due to her work schedule and taking care of many animals at her own little Hobby Farm. We are looking for fosters to help with puppies in a set of two or three clusters. Critter Cavalry Rescue will supply all vetting, meds, food if needed, and crates or bedding. We are very supportive and available to guide any foster family that steps forward to take them for a 3-5 week period of time. We are able to adopt to local Tennessee families and also adopt to families in the Northeast. Please help us help this little tribe of babies that never asked to be born and certainly they are not trash to be thrown away. Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. Meet Zuri! Our beautiful little girl that is mixed with all sorts of gorgeous dog elements that include most probably Border Collie/Husky mix. This crystal blue eyed girl has waited a long time to have her chance to be offered for adoption. You see she was part of a cruelty case back in October and was severely malnourished and was pregnant with babies. All her pretty babies have been adopted but poor Zuri was left behind. She was taken from the small TN shelter last month to decompress and learn some home/family life. She is ready now for a wonderful new family to call her own . This girl is a mature and settled 3-4 years old, spayed, UTD on vaccinations, HW- and ready for the good life with a family that will love and cherish her forever. Her beautiful blue eyes and open personality will make you love her instantly. This girl loves to run and play in the yard with other dogs and absolutely loves the water! She does good as your passenger in the car for pup cup runs and would do good in a home with older, dog savvy children that are 10 years and above. She is still learning not to pull on her leash and is doing very good at her sit command. Zuri just wants her chance to prove that she’s a great family member and cuddle up with you at night!
