Story
Emmy's story: Emmy is a big, gorgeous girl who has a lot of love to give. She didn't have the best start in life, but we are hoping to find her a home that can give her what every dog wants: a safe, comfortable home where she can be loved. Emmy is a high-energy dog with a strong working drive. She is an intelligent problem solver who loves to learn new tricks and be challenged. She is not an independent thinker, she is very human-oriented and begs for commands. This characteristic is what would make her an excellent working dog. A dedicated owner with a planned training regimen could shape her into an even more incredible dog than she already is. Whether it's on the field, trail, or any other setting, Emmy is sure to impress with her hardworking and determined nature. On top of that, she is very affectionate towards humans, even strangers. As long as you have a tennis ball she doesn't care who you are. As we have begun to work with her more and more, Emmy has allowed us to see a softer more relaxed side of her. Often times after she is done playing fetch and getting out her energy, Emmy will come over for scratches or hop up on the furniture to lie down with you. Ideal Home: Emmy would thrive in an active home with a family/owner that has experience with high-energy working dogs. The ideal owner would have the time to give her the mental and physical stimulation she requires. This includes doing some kind of dog activity or sport. Additionally, she would do well in a home with older children who can handle her level of energy and playfulness. Are you the perfect forever home for Emmy?
