Hi, I'm Sabrina! I am laid back and love a simple routine, but am also excited to explore the world. Though I cherish quiet moments like basking in the sun, I can easily be convinced to go for a walk, a hike, or even pull my owner on a skateboard! Me and my toy ball are inseparable and I'm always eager for a game of fetch or tug of war with it. My independent spirit means I'm content on my own but always loyal to those I love. I've also mastered the art of being super attentive to human's moods and am always ready to offer love, cuddles, and gentle kisses during anxious or hard times. Because I was attacked as a puppy, other big dogs make me upset, however I get along with some smaller dogs and my brother (who is also looking for a new home). Ideally, we could be adopted together, but I'm also perfectly content being an only pet. If you're looking for a sweet soul to share in both peaceful and playful times, I'm your girl!

Meet Ivy! This gorgeous girl is around 1-2 years old. We are unsure what she is mixed with, but we are guessing she has some husky in her due to her antics. She is such a sweet girl and SUPER energetic. She would love a family that goes to the lake, river or has a pool, she is a MAJOR water dog. She is looking for a super active family that can take her on long walks and plenty of adventures. She has done well with dogs she has met here but meet and greets are required. She would do well with children as long as she does get her energy out just due to the jumping around as she can be a wrecking ball at times. If interested in Ivy, the shelter is open Monday-Friday from 10am-3pm pending on if staff is in the building. You can also call the shelter at 804-520-9397 ext. 5 to set up an appointment!

This is Reina. She's beautiful. intelligent, and playful. Reina is house, crate, and leash trained. She follows commands well such as, sit, stay, laydown, settle, heel, slow, etc. She's very athletic, incredibly fast and she loves to play fetch. We love Reina dearly, however she has bitten my youngest son (5) and we can't keep her around him any longer. She's great with my older children and obedient. Overall, she is a good dog and I believe she would make a great pet for the right owner without younger children. She is currently not spayed, but I'm willing to pay the cost of the procedure for her next owner. She is shy and may need time to warm up to a new owner, im more than willing to help with this transition.

Thought to be a Lab-hound (or possibly Lab-beagle) mix, this petite sweetheart weighs around 38–40 pounds. While her current condition makes it hard to know her exact breed mix, one thing is clear: she’s full of love. Lacey is currently being treated for demodex mange and a yeast infection, and her vet-prescribed medications will go with her to continue care. She doesn’t require immediate bathing, just a calm, safe place where she can rest and heal. Despite her physical state, Lacey’s sweet spirit shines through. She’s gentle, quiet, and easy to be around—grateful for every bit of kindness she’s shown. What Lacey needs most now is a soft place to land, a home or rescue where she can finally feel safe and begin her journey back to health.
