Story
Jerri – The Scruffy-Faced Sunshine Girl You’ve Been Waiting For   Some dogs tug at your heart because of their past. Jerri will win you over because of her spirit. At just 9 months old and 35 pounds, Jerri is that perfect in-between size and is expected to grow into a lovely 45–50 pound adult. She has the sturdy build of a Lab, paired with the most irresistible scruffy black face — complete with wispy chin hairs that give her a touch of Irish Wolfhound charm. When the sunlight hits her sleek coat, she practically glows. Jerri and her brother (yes, Ben & Jerri!) came from a severely neglected situation in rural Tennessee where too many animals and not enough care was the daily reality. But here’s the beautiful part — Jerri didn’t let it define her. She is joyful. Open. Trusting. Ready.   She is a people-oriented girl who truly thrives on attention. You can see it in her eyes — she wants connection. She’s eager to learn, very food motivated, and already walking nicely on leash despite limited prior experience. With consistency and love, she is going to blossom into an incredible companion. She’s playful without being wild, affectionate without being clingy, and smart enough to pick up routines quickly. She’s working on crate training and is mostly housebroken — just the occasional puppy mistake as she adjusts to structure and stability. That’s all part of growing up.   Jerri isn’t looking for perfection. She’s looking for hers. Her person. Her couch. Her yard. Her forever. And when she finds it? She will love with everything she has. If Jerri sounds like the missing piece in your home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and tell us where you live when inquiring. We adopt locally in Tennessee and also transport to the northeastern corridor of states. This scruffy little sunshine girl is ready to start her real life   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 19, 2026, 12:17 am

Story
Jude is pure puppy magic wrapped in a soft Lab mix package. Born around December 10th, this handsome little guy is 8 weeks old and weighs 11 pounds—just the right size for snuggles, playtime, and stealing hearts wherever he goes. His short, velvety coat and beautiful markings make him a standout, but it’s his joyful, affectionate personality that truly shines. Jude is a happy, cuddly puppy who loves being close to his people and soaking up attention. He’s at that wonderful stage where curiosity meets sweetness, and he’s just beginning to figure out the kind of dog he’ll grow into. With a loving family, Jude’s natural intelligence and affectionate nature will blossom into a loyal, lifelong companion. Jude was found in a barn with his mom, a gentle 80-pound yellow Lab mix, and his three siblings. Thanks to kind fosters and the help of Critter Cavalry Rescue, this little family was given safety, care, and a fresh start. Now Jude is ready for the next chapter—one that includes a couch, a family, and a future full of love. Jude is expected to grow into a 60–70 pound adult and would be a wonderful fit for an active, loving home. He can be adopted in Tennessee at 10 weeks of age on February 21st, and for families in the Northeast, he will be able to travel on March 6th. If you’re looking for a puppy who brings joy, warmth, and a whole lot of heart, Jude may be the one for you. Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at cccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 17, 2026, 7:04 pm

Story
Meet Diamond-- a sweetie pie! She’s an energetic senior German Short-haired Pointer Mix. Although she has lots of energy, she’s also the biggest cuddle bug. Moreover, she loves to talk; thus, she barks quite a bit. As an affectionate companion, she should be the only fur-baby of her paw-rent (s). Given her lively nature, Diamond is quite strong and pulls on the leash so a sizable backyard to run around and go potty is needed. Overall, her ideal home is with adults and children (13 years old and up) who love snuggling on the couch and occasionally being outside. Diamond is crate- and house-trained and knows basic commands (i.e. sit, lay, “crate up”). She is up to date on all of her shots, and she doesn’t have any special needs or known medical conditions. We’re moving and unfortunately can’t take her with us. When adopted, Diamond will come with a crate– fit for a large dog, water and food bowls, vet records, 3 months of heartworm medicine, and a 20lb bag of dog food.

Story
Meet McCoy – the sweetest little sidekick you didn’t know you were missing. At just 4.5 months old and 24 pounds, McCoy is a delightful mix of silly, snuggly, and smart. He may be a tiny bit shy at first, but give him a little patience and you’ll quickly discover his playful personality and affectionate heart. McCoy comes from a pretty interesting family tree! His mom is a Heeler/Beagle mix and his dad is a cream-colored Goldendoodle, which resulted in one very unique and adorable pup. He has the coloring of his siblings but favors his Beagle-mix mama in looks — with short little legs, a loooong Basset-style body, and a thick, medium-length coat that’s perfect for cuddling. Though he was born outside and spent his early weeks living outdoors with his parents and littermates, McCoy is now thriving inside a loving foster home. He’s learning all about family life — from the excitement of greeting you at the door (he gives the best welcome-home kisses!) to living with young boys ages 6 and 10. Every day he grows braver and more confident. At first, the big dogs in his foster home made him a little nervous — but now? He’s happily part of the crew. He absolutely loves to run and play outside, and fetch with tennis balls is quickly becoming one of his favorite games. And yes… he is SMART. You can just see those wheels turning. One of the most special things about McCoy is how deeply he bonds with his people. When his foster mom recently had a terrible migraine, McCoy instinctively curled up beside her and stayed close, offering quiet comfort. He’s not just cute — he truly cares. His activity level is beautifully balanced. He enjoys playtime and adventures, but he’s just as happy snuggled up right next to you. With a loving, supportive family, McCoy is going to absolutely bloom into the best kind of companion — loyal, joyful, and full of heart. He is expected to grow to around 45–50 pounds when fully grown. If you’re looking for a special boy who is adorable inside and out, McCoy may be your perfect match. To learn more about McCoy, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. We transport from our rescue base in Nashville up the northeastern corridor of states to approved adopters. McCoy is ready to find his forever family — maybe it’s you. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 12, 2026, 9:03 pm
