He is house trained and will go to the door when he needs to use the bathroom, he loves playing tug of war and watching TV right next to you. He loves cuddles and lots and lots of pets. He shows love by giving many many kisses:). He bonds fast and hard so make sure you have time to spend with him because he doesn’t like being alone!   Delilah Deserves More Than This   Delilah is another one of those puppies whose life started with a parking lot giveaway. She was advertised as an “Anatolian Shepherd mix,” but we can confidently say there isn’t much Anatolian in this beautiful girl. At 10 months old and 50 pounds, Delilah appears to be more of a Lab/Heeler mix with a heart full of love and potential.   What breaks our hearts isn’t where she came from—it’s how she’s been living.    For most of her young life, Delilah has spent nearly 20 hours a day confined to a large crate in an apartment. Not because she’s a bad dog. Not because she’s destructive. Simply because lifecircumstances left her with very little opportunity to be a puppy.   At an age when she should be running, exploring, playing, learning, and discovering the world, Delilah has mostly been watching life pass by from behind crate bars.   The lack of exercise has even caused some muscle loss. More than anything, she needs a chance to move, stretch, play, and simply be a dog.   Despite everything, Delilah remains incredibly sweet.   She can be a little shy when meeting new people, which isn’t surprising considering how little social interaction she’s had. But beneath that initial uncertainty is a kind, gentle, loving girl who desperately wants to connect. She is good with other dogs, enjoys people, and is already crate trained—just far more crate trained than any young dog should ever have to be.   What Delilah needs now is simple:    A yard to explore.    A couch to nap on.   A family to notice her.   A foster home willing to show her that life can be bigger than four crate walls.   Whether you can offer a temporary foster home or a forever family, you could completely change the course of this young dog’s life.   Delilah is beautiful. She is sweet. She is lonely. Meet McCoy – the sweetest little sidekick you didn’t know you were missing. At just 4.5 months old and 24 pounds, McCoy is a delightful mix of silly, snuggly, and smart. He may be a tiny bit shy at first, but give him a little patience and you’ll quickly discover his playful personality and affectionate heart. McCoy comes from a pretty interesting family tree! His mom is a Heeler/Beagle mix and his dad is a cream-colored Goldendoodle, which resulted in one very unique and adorable pup. He has the coloring of his siblings but favors his Beagle-mix mama in looks — with short little legs, a loooong Basset-style body, and a thick, medium-length coat that’s perfect for cuddling. Though he was born outside and spent his early weeks living outdoors with his parents and littermates, McCoy is now thriving inside a loving foster home. He’s learning all about family life — from the excitement of greeting you at the door (he gives the best welcome-home kisses!) to living with young boys ages 6 and 10. Every day he grows braver and more confident. At first, the big dogs in his foster home made him a little nervous — but now? He’s happily part of the crew. He absolutely loves to run and play outside, and fetch with tennis balls is quickly becoming one of his favorite games. And yes… he is SMART. You can just see those wheels turning. One of the most special things about McCoy is how deeply he bonds with his people. When his foster mom recently had a terrible migraine, McCoy instinctively curled up beside her and stayed close, offering quiet comfort. He’s not just cute — he truly cares. His activity level is beautifully balanced. He enjoys playtime and adventures, but he’s just as happy snuggled up right next to you. With a loving, supportive family, McCoy is going to absolutely bloom into the best kind of companion — loyal, joyful, and full of heart. He is expected to grow to around 45–50 pounds when fully grown. If you’re looking for a special boy who is adorable inside and out, McCoy may be your perfect match.
