I am sadly needing to rehome my big boy Tank. Due to a brain injury, I am no longer able to safely care for him on my own. He is 2 years old, a lean and long 65 pounds, and the bestest boy. He is crate trained, house trained, neutered, up to do on all vet things, and has had obedience training using an e-collar. He wants all the love and all the treats. Unfortunately his size and energy levels coupled with his lack of body awareness just creates a dangerous situation for me and probably small kids. He lives with a small dog now and would love a home with another dog friend. Not sure about cats. Needs a place to run, ideally with a fence, and is used to being inside. Forrest is around 6 y/o and is absolutely gorgeous and well trained. His recall and obedience is excellent, able to go off leash while hiking and mountain biking. Will sit, lay down, stay, and heel without a leash. Walks well on the leash too. He does not get along with the larger dogs in my home and has had multiple fights, none with the smaller dog at home or while on walks or at dog parks. He has bit a child on the hand and is very nervous around children. He would do best in an adult home with active owners and no children. He does fine with the two cats in my home and would be ok around another dog smaller than him. Re-homing as he is not a good fit as I am currently pregnant.
