Story
Meet Sugaree! 🐾💖 Looking for a calm, loving companion who’s already got the whole “good girl” thing down? Meet Sugaree—a 6-year-old Labrador Retriever mix with a heart of gold and a personality as sweet as her name. Sugaree is a people-lover through and through. She’s super friendly, great with kids, and happiest when she’s hanging out with her favorite humans. Whether it’s a family movie night on the couch or a lazy afternoon in the backyard, she’s just happy to be part of it all. While Sugaree is selective with other dogs, she absolutely shines in the company of people. She’d thrive as the only pup in the home or with a calm, compatible dog after a proper introduction. Laid-back and affectionate, Sugaree is past the puppy chaos and knows how to enjoy the simple things in life—snuggles, snacks, and strolls. She’s the perfect match for someone looking for a loyal, mellow companion who’s ready to fill your home with love. If you’re looking for a sweet, steady girl to share your heart and home, Sugaree is waiting to meet you. Come fall in love today!

Story
Toby is a sweet, loyal boy looking for a calm home where he can feel safe and loved. He’s affectionate and loves to be near his people, often following you from room to room just to be part of your day. When he gets excited, he can be a little mouthy—but his mouth is soft, and it’s never aggressive. He can also come running with so much joy that he sometimes forgets to slow down! Toby does best as the only dog in the home, though he’s fine with cats. He’s had a rough past and can be wary of certain things, but with patience and reassurance he opens up beautifully. He should stay on leash outside and thrives with consistency and experienced owners. We’ve added a small adoption fee only to ensure Toby goes to a serious, responsible home. It breaks my heart that I can’t give him the training and environment he needs, but he deserves the best life possible with a family who will love and understand him.

Story
Meet Clumz – The Lovable Goofball with a Heart of Gold 🖤🐾 Don’t let the name fool you — okay, actually… do. Because Clumz is every bit as adorably awkward and goofy as his name suggests, and that’s exactly what makes him so lovable. This young black Lab mix may be a little timid when you first meet him, but give him a minute and you’ll be met with tail wags, kisses, and a heart full of love. Clumz is all about playtime — he loves his toys, loves to romp with his dog friends, and even tested well with cats. He's the perfect mix of silly and sweet. Clumz is the kind of pup who’ll keep you laughing one minute and melt into your arms the next. He’s ready to bring joy, companionship, and a whole lot of clumsy charm to his forever home. If you're looking for a fun-loving best friend with a gentle heart and a goofy grin, Clumz is ready to meet you!

Story
Storm is a guy with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He loves people and craves attention from anyone who is willing to give it to him. He has a confident demeanor and likes to spend time taking walks. He tires fairly easily because of his weight, therefore, he needs a lot more walking! Storm has been learning to walk using a gentle leader which helps tremendously. With proper care and exercise, he can shed those extra pounds and become a healthier pup. Storm is a lovable and loyal companion who just needs a little extra help to reach his full potential.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
I have videos!!! Surrendered by a family whose son turned out to be allergic to pets, Isla (pronounced “eye-la”) uses her sandy-white coat and black-framed, sea-green eyes to show you why she is named for the Scottish word for “island.” Her mom was a German Shepherd/Lab mix; dad was a traveling man. Lack of socialization left Isla wary of strangers, and she’s a little worried and antsy at first; but she comes around with a visitor's patience and time and is ready to play fetch with a "Frisbee" or ball. She has a high prey drive, so testing would be needed before adoption to a family that already has a cat. Highly food motivated, she walks happily on a leashed “sniff and stroll” through the woods, responds promptly to “sit”, and is doing well learning other commands. She is great at bath and nail-trim time with her former foster (a professional groomer) but uneasy at vet appointments. We are working to discourage jump-ups. At 2.5 years old and weighing 49 pounds, she is already house-trained (she lived happily with a family of dad, mom, two teenage boys and a toddler), crate-trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccines and monthly parasite preventatives. Her easy-care coat and playful attitude with other dogs add to her list of assets. She would love to have another family of her own! https://youtu.be/6pmyBBgp2fY FOCCAS adoptable dog Isla learns the "release" commandhttps://youtu.be/Z1BDW5nXN_U / FOCCAS adoptable dog Isla learns not to play with slip lead!https://youtu.be/c9mb7HEdpM4 FOCCAS adoptable dog Isla plays ball by herself!https://youtu.be/hEaDsFgvnok FOCCAS adoptable dog Isla goes on a Stroll&Sniffhttps://youtu.be/yqmXoKIPhxM FOCCAS adoptable dog checks out a big turkeyhttps://youtu.be/3Mw0_JK3RTY FOCCAS adoptable dog Isla plays fetch and practices "Leave it"FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Shady is a large, sweet boy who enjoys walks, taking rides in cars, and is good with other dogs. He is not aggressive at all and co-exists well in a pack. He loves to run in the pasture with many other dogs at the rescue. He would like a family to call his own, so that he can show everyone how smart and good-natured he really is. An active family would suit him best because he is full of energy! The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Story
These dogs are great, super loving and playful, named Checkers (small dog) and Sherman (big dog). I love them, but I decided to join the Navy so I can no longer take care of them, sadly. I hope to find a great home for them where they can stay together. They are not sick, they are both roughly a year old, and they have no behavioral issues (although Checkers can be very timid sometimes). I am willing to help in any way, for whoever chooses to adopt these wonderful dogs. I will miss them so so much, but hopefully they will be happy with a nice family in or around Southern Virginia.
