Story
Hello my name is Lewis I am a lab mix and I am around 5 years old and weigh about 75lbs. I do get along with other dogs but would most likely do well with a female dog. I can be overly friendly with them though. I'm not too sure if I would be the best with cats as I do chase them. I love all people and am just all around a nice guy. I like to do my own thing and play with my toys and just lounge around. I also like to go for walks but I have proved that I am a strong boy and am working on my leash manners. A fenced yard is a must for me as I love to be outside. If you are interested in meeting me please email to get an application. If you are interested in meeting Lewis we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an application. The adoption fee is $250.00, which includes neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming and vaccinations. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgMay 15, 2025, 6:51 am

Story
Meet Bella!  Almost 4-year-old Lab mix • Female • Smaller in size • Kennel trained • Great with kids Bella is a beautiful, bright, and loving girl who’s ready to find her forever home! She’s smaller in size for a Lab mix, but full of energy and personality. Bella is extremely smart and loves to learn new things. She enjoys playing ball, having space to run, and spending time with her favorite people — especially her kids. When playtime is done, she’s happy to relax and be part of the family. Bella is kennel trained and thrives on attention. If you’re looking for a fun, loyal companion who loves both playtime and family time, Bella would love to meet you! Story
Hi my name is Lucy I am a Labrador Retriever and am around 6 years old and weigh about 60lbs. I do get along with other male dogs but would prefer a dog that would just hangout with me and not invade my bubble. No cats or chickens as I like to chase them and It would not be good if I caught one. I love people and would most likely do good with kids but might accidentally knock them over. I am a very sweet girl but I have been known to be a bit of an escape artist and will need a fenced yard and will probably still need to be monitored while outside until you know I can't get out. I love food and going for walks and also love the water. I may be a bit older but I still have energy to burn but also need a couch to crash on when I’m tired, so if you are interested in adopting me please email for an application. If you are interested in meeting her we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an adoption application. Once you have an approved adoption application on file, we will then schedule a time for you to come and meet her. Her adoption fee will be $250.00 that will cover the cost of her spay her vaccinations, her being treated for fleas and worms and her microchip. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgMay 15, 2025, 6:28 am

Story
Looking for a pup who’s equal parts silly, sweet, and ready to take on the world? Sunny is your girl! This happy-go-lucky sunshine puppy is bursting with love and looking for her forever family – ideally one that’s ready for hikes, fun, and plenty of snuggles. Sunny is a total kid magnet – she adores children and would thrive in a busy, bustling home full of laughter and energy. She's also a loyal little shadow, always ready to be by your side. She gets along great with other dogs, so if you’ve got a pup at home looking for a playmate, Sunny would love a doggie sibling! She would likely do well with cats with proper introductions. Sunny completed a month-long board & train program, and learned all the good manners: - Crate trained, check! - Potty trained, check! - Working on her leash, sit, down and stay skills like a pro Her personality is the perfect mix of goofy, affectionate, and smart – she’s the kind of dog who will make you laugh, melt your heart, and be your forever pal. Ready to fall in love? Because Sunny's ready to find her people! Apply to adopt her here: https://www.wahkiakumanimals.org/adopt-a-pet Sunny is 9 months old as of June 2025. We've been told that she is 50% labrador retriever, 25% corgi and 25% husky. She has a sister that looks exactly like her - but with corgi legs! Sunny is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. She has a clean bill of health from her vet.

Story
Annie is 4 Years Old. She is vaccinated (however, is due for Rabies). Annie is good natured, but could use some training. In her enthusiasm, she wants to jump and lick. She has always lived with another Lab on expansive properties, so is not used to being on a leash. She has recently developed a behavior of humping the other dog. Both dogs are female and fixed. We believe this may be based on a compulsion to assert dominance, in response to anxiousness over an environment that has turned chaotic. Annie was originally house-trained, however, is now “going” in the house. We believe this is related to inconsistently letting the dogs go outside. Annie is in need of a Dog Whisperer, who can insightfully provide her with structure, consistency and training. She’s actually a great dog! She deserves someone who can help her live her best life!
