THIS IS A COURTESY POST! PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP AT THE SHELTER TO MEET HIM. HE IS NOT AT THE SHELTER   MEET Apollo  also responds to Paul. How cuuute.    Apollo is a good young boy.  His only fault is his energy... his family sort of ended up with him. They feel bad. But they have realized he deserves more than they can give. He is destructive in home when not properly excercised, and hes a jumper, they have a kid and hes too much with the kid. They have tried to work with him, but have realized that they are not the right fit. All of this is fixable and trainable with the right person or family. Hes just young and needs consistency and training    Here's what they answered to my questions:    "Apollo nickname Paul (he responds to both)  Kind of Leash Trained (we dont walk him as much as he needs) Crate Trained No allergies that we know of Hes ok in the car, sometimes throws up He is ok alone in a crate if nothing is around him but he did eat the rug/plastic at the bottom of the crate Recall only when said a couple times but not in a open space maybe like a backyard No idea about cats or dogs ( except his sibling dog he is fine with) We got him from one of my husband friends, he is half lab half heeler   And no rehoming fee we just want him to go to a really good home."    He is 1.5 yrs old. Black Lab/ Heeler. Neutered. And UTD on shots.   March 7, 2026, 1:53 pm

Story
Meet Beau! Beau is an 8-year-old purebred Black Labrador with a heart as big as his smile. This handsome boy has spent his life as a loved family companion and has lived happily with another dog and with children, making him a wonderful choice for a family setting. Beau is in great health, fully potty trained, and current on all of his vaccinations. Like a true Lab, he lives for playtime — especially when a tennis ball is involved! If you enjoy throwing a ball and watching a happy pup bound after it, Beau will be your perfect partner. While he hasn’t had much exposure to cats, Beau has proven himself to be friendly, social, and well-mannered with people and other dogs. He’s at a lovely stage in life where he still enjoys activity but also appreciates relaxing with his people. &#226&#156&#168 Courtesy Post: This is a courtesy listing. When you apply, we will connect you directly with Beau’s owners to move forward with adoption. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and loving companion, Beau may be the perfect match for you. Story
Meet Cassidy – A Loyal and Happy Lab/Collie/Shepherd Mix! DOB: 10/3/2022 | Weight: 76 pounds | Female Cassidy is a stunning Lab/Collie/Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. At 3 years old, she’s in the prime of her life—healthy, energetic, and full of love to give. Cassidy is known for her loyal spirit and happy demeanor. She absolutely adores her people, and with her affectionate nature, she’ll make a wonderful companion for an active and dedicated family. Breed Info: A mix of Labrador Retriever, Collie, and Shepherd, Cassidy combines intelligence, energy, and devotion. These breeds are known for their trainability and loyalty, but also for needing structure, exercise, and mental stimulation. Cassidy is a great candidate for agility work, hiking adventures, or simply being your best buddy in life. Special Notes: Cassidy is a spirited girl who loves to explore! She does have a talent for jumping fences, so she will require a home with a very secure, tall fence (or someone committed to leash walks and supervised play). She is currently enrolled in a basic training course and making wonderful progress. Continued training will be key to helping her thrive and channel her energy in positive ways. ‍‍ Owner Responsibilities: Cassidy’s new family will need to: Provide daily exercise and playtime. Continue with her training to reinforce good manners. Ensure a secure environment to keep her safe. Offer patience, structure, and plenty of love. &#226&#154&#150&#239&#184&#143 Things to Consider: Cassidy is best suited for an active household that can keep up with her energy. Landlords and property owners should be checked if you rent, as breed restrictions sometimes apply. Families should be prepared for her enthusiasm—she may not be best for homes with toddlers, but will love older children. The 3-3-3 Rule: Remember the adjustment period: 3 days to decompress. 3 weeks to learn your routine. 3 months to fully feel at home. Vet Care: Once adopted, getting Cassidy to your vet is important for a checkup and to establish ongoing care. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Why Cassidy Will Be a Great Addition: Cassidy isn’t just looking for a home—she’s looking for her forever partner. She has all the qualities of a best friend: loyal, protective, playful, and loving. With her happy spirit and willingness to learn, she’ll bring joy and companionship to the right home. She will thrive with someone who sees her spirited energy not as a challenge but as part of her charm. Cassidy is ready to love and be loved—could she be the one for you? Story
Meet Gorda – Your Gentle Companion Basic Info: Name: Gorda Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Labrador Retriever Mix Sex: Female DOB: April 10, 2024 Weight: 45 lbs Intake Date: April 9, 2024 Personality – Shy But Sweet: Gorda is a soft-hearted soul who starts off a little shy but quickly warms up to kind voices and gentle touches. Once she feels safe, her tail starts to wag and her eyes light up with affection. She enjoys quiet companionship, slow introductions, and belly rubs from those she trusts. Gorda is the perfect blend of calm and cuddly—ideal for a home that can offer patience, peace, and love. Breed Information: As a Pit Bull and Labrador Retriever mix, Gorda combines the best of both breeds. Pit Bulls are known for their loyalty, strength, and intelligence, while Labradors are famously friendly, social, and eager to please. This mix often results in a devoted, affectionate companion who thrives with structure and positive reinforcement. Gorda will benefit from daily exercise, enrichment activities, and ongoing socialization. Owner Responsibilities: Provide regular vet care, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and a balanced diet Daily exercise like walks, playtime, or backyard fun Mental stimulation through toys, training, and social experiences Time, patience, and consistency to help build her confidence A safe, secure home environment with supervision and boundaries Positive training methods (no harsh punishment-based approaches) Commitment for Life: When you adopt Gorda, you’re promising to be her safe place for the rest of her life. Through every stage—puppy, adult, and senior—she deserves your loyalty and love. This commitment means never abandoning her due to lifestyle changes, moving, or other temporary setbacks. Gorda will return your lifelong devotion tenfold. Do Not Leash Your Dog Outside Unattended: Gorda should never be tethered or left outside alone. It’s unsafe, isolating, and doesn’t meet her need for companionship and supervision. Dogs who are tied out can become anxious, territorial, and vulnerable to harm. Gorda belongs with you, safely inside and part of your family. Why Adopt Gorda? Gorda is more than a pretty face—she’s a dog waiting for someone to see the beauty in her gentle heart. If you’re the kind of person who values patience, kindness, and forming deep bonds, Gorda will reward you with loyalty, love, and quiet joy. Give her a chance, and she’ll give you a best friend for life. Story
Meet Oliver Male DOB: February 16, 2026 Weight: 9 pounds current. (medium small breed) Breed: Black Labrador / Terrier Mix Neutered (Fixed) Vaccines:  In Progress (puppy vaccines up to age schedule) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Oliver is a sweet and lovable puppy with a happy personality and a heart full of affection. He is at a wonderful age where he is eager to learn, explore, and bond with his future family. He enjoys spending time with people and approaches life with the curiosity and enthusiasm that make puppies so special. Oliver is playful, friendly, and always ready for his next adventure. Whether he is exploring his surroundings, playing with toys, or cuddling up after a busy day, he brings joy and positive energy wherever he goes. He is looking for a family that will help him continue learning and growing into a confident, well-mannered adult dog. A Labrador Retriever / Terrier Mix is typically a friendly, intelligent, and affectionate companion with a wonderful balance of playful energy and gentle loyalty. This breed mix often combines the Labrador's loving, people-oriented nature with the Terrier's confidence, curiosity, and spirited personality. They are eager to please, highly trainable, and thrive on spending time with their families. Regular exercise, mental enrichment, and positive reinforcement training help them become well-balanced, confident dogs. Whether enjoying outdoor adventures, playing fetch, or relaxing at home with their favorite people, a Labrador Retriever / Terrier Mix is happiest when included as a valued member of the family. Oliver would thrive in a home prepared for: Ongoing puppy training and supervision Daily exercise, playtime, and enrichment Positive socialization experiences Structure, consistency, and routine A lifelong commitment to his emotional and physical well-being He is still very young and will need a family ready to invest the time, patience, and guidance required to raise a puppy. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like most rescue puppies, Oliver may not have had early structure, socialization, or formal training before entering rescue. Puppies require supervision, consistency, and patience as they learn how to navigate life in a home environment. Adopters should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, teething, accidents, learning household routines, and testing boundaries. These behaviors are completely normal and are part of healthy puppy development. Oliver will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily structure and routine Continued socialization and exposure Patience, consistency, and supervision Gentle guidance throughout his development Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn routine 3 months to feel fully at home With patience, training, and love, Oliver will grow into a loyal and devoted companion. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes training, exercise, veterinary care, and emotional responsibility. Oliver will need: Routine veterinary care and vaccine boosters Preventative care including flea, tick, and parasite prevention Proper nutrition to support healthy growth Daily exercise and mental enrichment Ongoing training and socialization A safe, stable indoor living environment Because Oliver is still growing, his family should be prepared to continue helping him learn appropriate behaviors and develop confidence as he matures. Oliver is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside.
