Story
I got Cooper when he was a puppy in Klamath Falls Oregon when on a trip through the area. He has been raised with my 4yr old female heeler and 9yr old male heeler. No aggression on food, toys or treats. He might growl when chewing a smoked bone, even when no one is around but never aggressive. The younger heeler and Cooper play, run around together no issue. My older male heeler never wanted much to do with him, never mean but wasn't playful with him. Recently in the last several weeks he has attacked our older male dog for no reason, I don't know if he's trying to be Alpha male of the house, but I can't have this. He is create trained during the day, when I'm at work and out in the house the rest of the time. He knows commands, not a super cuddler, but wants attention and to be near you. Knows fetch and to bring it back, likes to hike and go camping....has been a really good dog until recently with our older dog and I feel he needs a home with someone as only dog or male.

Here's what they had to say about me during my time with them:Hank is a sweet, gentle giant, and is very cuddly, sleeps well in bed with us or on a dog bed, has a good appetite, and is fully potty trained-he will let you know when he needs to go outside. He responds well to whistling and can sit and lay down, though he is still working understanding other commands. He loves to play with chew toys and balls and will run all round the yard wanting to be chased.He can be shy in new spaces at first.He would like a family who will let him take things at his own pace as he learns about new things.He is not interested in chasing bird and squirrels so may do well with cats in the home if they are properly introduced over time.He loves to play with other dogs, but is young and still working on his play manners.He would love an energetic playmate though! It's recommended he meets any dogs or kids living in his new home before he's adopted, just to make sure everyone gets along.I've been in the shelter longer than most and my adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me.I'm available for Trial Adoption!
