Cardi is a 5 year old, spayed lab mix. She has hemolytic anemia. And some separation anxiety. Owner says that she's working too many hours and for shifts that are too long for her to be able to keep Cardi a happy dog. This is a situation for one of those animal angels out there who're blessed to have enough money to take care of a dog with medical issues into their senior years. We know you're out there. This is a dog that needs you. Her adoption donation is $100June 15, 2024, 2:35 am

My adoption fee is $200 Here's what you need to know about me:I have some handling sensitivity. That means I have some preferences about how and where I get petted. My human friends at the shelter can tell you more!I'm easy going. Wanna go for a walk? Okay. Hang out in the yard? No problem. Just relax on the couch? I can do that. I'm pretty happy to go at your pace and I don't really need much more than most dogs do. If you're looking for a steady companion, I'm all yours.I'm recommended with kids older than 6 and prefer to meet them before going home. Story
This dog is located in Houston, TX and is available for adoption to this area. The adoption fee covers the transport cost as well. Sebastian is a super sweet, happy-go-lucky boy. He is approximately 6 years old. He is moderately active and loves ALL people. He is a major goof ball and is very playful. He was part of an effort to reduce a population of stray dogs in a rough part of Houston where a large group of strays were developing. Rescues came in and pulled a bunch until there was just Sebastian and another dog we think is related somehow. He was very nervous and in rough shape when he first came to the rescue. He had a huge scar on the top of his head that we think he was hit with something at point. He was very thin and had hair loss and was suffering from tons of intestinal parasites, heartworms, ear infections and untreated skin allergies. He is now completely healed, heartworm negative and on a special diet that has gotten rid of the skin issues and ear issues completely. He is now a very healthy boy who would love a forever home. He is nervous with new dogs and does much better with female dogs if they give him time to warm up to them. He is very playful and LOVES toys. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and current on heartworm and flea prevention. Please email westhoustonanimalrescue@gmail.com for more info or an application. All our pups are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention. Our adoption process starts with an application and a vet reference.
