Story
What my friends at OHS say about me:I'm a lovebug looking for the perfect place to spend my golden years.Give me treats and pets and you will be my new favorite person.I may look like a big boy, but I'll do my best to convince you I'm a lap dog!My friends call me a "couch potato" because my favorite thing to do is laze around the house.I would much prefer a leisurely sniffari walk than joining you for anything fast paced.Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.High Energy: I can become easily frustrated if my energy and exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish.I have chronic skin issues which will require long term management. It can be caused by different factors such as fleas, food or environmental factors.I have chronic ear infections which will require long term management.I have been diagnosed with chronic dry eye (KCS), which will require long-term medical management.I am part of the Diamond in the Ruff program, which you can learn more about here.I'm in a foster home right now, but I'm still available for adoption! Click the Meet Me button and complete the questionnaire to schedule a meet and greet appointment. The type of home I'm looking for:I would prefer to be the only dog in the home.I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted. While I may be okay with the occasional canine friend, I'll probably never be a dog park kind of dog.I need a home without cats or other small animals. I need to go to a home without small children. It could be with you! Click here to learn about the adoption process. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 81 Age: 8yrs 6mths 3wks

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to Portland for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Looking for a new playmate for your furry friend? Look no further than Blake Richard! This guy loves to play with dogs of all shapes and sizes. He's a friendly fella who loves nothing more than spending time with his favorite people. He loves going on walks (he is working on his leash skills) and playing with toys. Blake is quiet, sweet, and good at listening to commands. He is house and crate-trained and we think he is good with kids, since he was around them when he was a puppy. If you're looking for a fun addition to your family, adopt Blake today! He is a little over a year old and 55 pounds. We think he is a mix between a lab and a border collie! Interested in becoming a forever home for Blake? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!
