Story
Lotus was rescued in Colorado almost 9 years ago. We believe she was abandoned by her previous owners. She will be 10 in November. She is the sweetest dog in the world. She is loyal, great with kids, with lots of energy. She has severe separation anxiety and is not able to be outside without a fenced yard (even fences don’t always keep her in). Unfortunately, we have to rehome her as she gets out frequently (we do not have a fenced yard) and will get neighbors animals (chickens mostly). This was a terribly hard decision for us to make and we just want to find her a good home.

THIS IS A COURTESY POST! PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP AT THE SHELTER TO MEET HIM. HE IS NOT AT THE SHELTER   MEET Apollo  also responds to Paul. How cuuute.    Apollo is a good young boy.  His only fault is his energy... his family sort of ended up with him. They feel bad. But they have realized he deserves more than they can give. He is destructive in home when not properly excercised, and hes a jumper, they have a kid and hes too much with the kid. They have tried to work with him, but have realized that they are not the right fit. All of this is fixable and trainable with the right person or family. Hes just young and needs consistency and training    Here's what they answered to my questions:    "Apollo nickname Paul (he responds to both)  Kind of Leash Trained (we dont walk him as much as he needs) Crate Trained No allergies that we know of Hes ok in the car, sometimes throws up He is ok alone in a crate if nothing is around him but he did eat the rug/plastic at the bottom of the crate Recall only when said a couple times but not in a open space maybe like a backyard No idea about cats or dogs ( except his sibling dog he is fine with) We got him from one of my husband friends, he is half lab half heeler   And no rehoming fee we just want him to go to a really good home."    He is 1.5 yrs old. Black Lab/ Heeler. Neutered. And UTD on shots.   March 7, 2026, 1:53 pm

Story
Meet Beau! Beau is an 8-year-old purebred Black Labrador with a heart as big as his smile. This handsome boy has spent his life as a loved family companion and has lived happily with another dog and with children, making him a wonderful choice for a family setting. Beau is in great health, fully potty trained, and current on all of his vaccinations. Like a true Lab, he lives for playtime — especially when a tennis ball is involved! If you enjoy throwing a ball and watching a happy pup bound after it, Beau will be your perfect partner. While he hasn’t had much exposure to cats, Beau has proven himself to be friendly, social, and well-mannered with people and other dogs. He’s at a lovely stage in life where he still enjoys activity but also appreciates relaxing with his people. &#226&#156&#168 Courtesy Post: This is a courtesy listing. When you apply, we will connect you directly with Beau’s owners to move forward with adoption. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and loving companion, Beau may be the perfect match for you. Story
Sadie Mae is a beautiful girl who loves to snuggle with her humans, go for walks and play in the yard. She would be a great dog for the right human - one who can walk her, has a nice yard to play in and the time to play with her. But, she does not do well with other dogs, nor cats or other small animals. So, being an only child with boundaries where she can safely expend her energy would be the ideal spot for her. She is house and kennel trained. Sadie needs spayed - which will be included in her $300 adoption donation. If you are interested in meeting her please fill out an application at sccpets.comIf you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.March 7, 2026, 3:28 pm

Story
This is Waldo! He's a purebred lab, with documentation to show that he has no health issues in his lineage. He just turned two and his puppy energy is starting to calm down. He loves to play hard with other puppies. We raised him with three cats and a bunch of neighborhood dogs. He's very very social and wants to sit on you for back scratches when you aren't playing. He's extremely intelligent, sometimes to his detriment. He's smart enough to know that if he does all his tricks he'll get the right one eventually. Though he also knows that when given a command he needs to respond immediately. He needs a firm but loving home to keep him on track. Waldo thrives on play and schedule more than anything else. He's great for long walks, but prefers to be off leash. He loves scouting ahead and sniffing bushes. We never took him hunting, but we can tell that his hunting instincts are strong. We feel that he would do best being part of a hunting family with other big dogs to rough house with!
