Hey there, I’m Bear! Explorer. Snack enthusiast and Wannabe trail guide! I’m a goofy, adventurous pup on the lookout for my forever adventure buddy (or buddies). If you’re into long walks, hiking trails, or just pretending the backyard is a national park, I’m your guy. I’ve got energy to burn and a love for learning. Right now I’m learning tricks like sit, down, leave it, speak, back, spin, and take it. Basically, I’m building my resume for “Very Good Boy of the Year.” Just imagine what we could accomplish together with a few treats and some teamwork. Now, full transparency, meeting new people can be kind of scary for me. Sometimes I bark, sometimes I hide, and sometimes I do both (double whammy). I need a little patience and space to feel safe. But once I know you're one of the good ones? Boom! instant best friend. I’ll melt into you like a marshmallow by the campfire. I’m a big, bouncy boy with a zest for life and I’d do best in a home without small kids (don’t want to accidentally knock over any tiny humans while I'm living my best life). I get along with dogs and even cats, but I’d also be happy flying solo. Just promise me plenty of exercise, playtime, and belly rubs. This boy is so sweet and gentle. Great on a leash and has the most beautiful coat. He is a true charmer. This adorable little pack—Mom, Dad, and their three precious pups—were found abandoned and surviving together in a field. Despite their rough start, they’ve held onto their gentle spirits and loving hearts. Mom and Dad are a sweet, devoted pair who clearly did their best to protect and raise their puppies in the wild. Now safe and cared for, they’ve blossomed into affectionate, playful companions who just want a cozy home and someone to love them back. This remarkable little family has come so far, and now they’re ready for the next chapter—one filled with comfort, kindness, and forever homes. Could you be part of their happy ending? All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
