Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Lola!  This happy girl was born around October 2020, and she is at her max weight of 85 pounds.  Wisdom Panel confirmed that she is 100% Great Pyrenees. Lola loves people.  She is an absolute cuddle bug!  She likes to snuggle her nose into your neck and chest.  She wants to be as close to you as possible on the couch.  She’ll be on your lap if you allow it.  Because of her strong Pyr paw, we recommend that she not live with toddlers or younger. She cutely hops when she’s excited, and she sometimes makes funny noises to get your attention. Lola loves playing with dogs and with toys.  She adores being outside in her backyard.  She is very active and would do well with lots of exercise such as walking or running. She likes every dog she meets, and she needs a doggy playmate in her forever home.  A mid-size to large dog is best. Lola is great with puppies; she plays gently with them and lets them climb all over her.  She is curious and playful with cats. Before coming into rescue, Lola was hit by car.  She suffered a broken leg and pelvis.  Due to her subsequent surgeries, she needs to stay lean and stay on glucosamine and fish oil supplements for her joints. When you see her running or playing, you wouldn’t know she had surgeries in the past.  They don’t slow her down whatsoever. Lola is fully house trained.  She needs practice to remember her impeccable leash manners.  She is crate trained, but has no need to be crated. When outside, Lola loves sounding her loud, deep bark a lot. When riding in a car, she barks when triggered by people, dogs, trucks, and so on.  For longer rides, she lays down and is calm. She does fine with the 5-foot wrought iron fence around the yard at her foster home. SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Sully!  See him on TikTok in "Sully gets a 'spaw' day."  https://www.tiktok.com/@houseofpyrenees/video/7140034002789977387 Born around June 2021, this affectionate, adorable, super goofy boy is on the smaller side around 65 pounds and won’t get much bigger than that, maybe up to 75 pounds. Sweet Sully loves people and is very friendly.  He would love to be a lap dog!  Then he would be living his best life.  His happy place is leaning on and cuddling with his humans.  When he meets new people, he likes to sit and throw his front legs up like he expects a hug.  It’s so cute he usually gets it. He is good with kids, but he should probably not be placed with babies or toddlers, because he can be very boisterous when he plays, and he doesn’t know his own strength sometimes.  He might accidentally knock little ones over or bop them in the face. Sully would love to have a big yard where he can play with his doggy friends.  He loves, loves toys!  He is king of “keep-away” with his dog buddies. He must have a playful dog his size or bigger in his forever home.  He likes to chew on all his dog friends and can be a bit of a pest to them.  His dog companion will need to be able to stand up for themselves or Sully will push them around. Sully is nice to cats.  However, he thinks that birds make a nice snack. He might like swimming in a pool or playing in a creek or jumping in sprinklers, because he sure likes playing in his water bowl! Sully is house trained, leash trained, and crate trained.  He doesn’t bark very much.  He rides nicely in a car, getting in and out on his own, and he doesn’t even try to drive! Sully has a stubborn streak and a dominant personality.  He will need to maintain his training in his new home. SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet India!  Born October 25, 2021, this tender cutie pie is on the small side for the breed. This little pumpkin is friendly and sweet with people, but a little reserved at first.  She’ll show you her famous “sad eyes” pose to make you turn to mush. She is playful with anything that moves!  She loves to run around outside and is very active.  She doesn’t know her own strength, so she shouldn’t be placed with babies, toddlers, or the infirm. She also loves basking in the cool morning sun. India needs a doggy companion in her forever home.  She prefers dogs that aren’t overzealous.  She scares easily and will run away crying if a dog jumps on her.  She is very food motivated, since she was raised with her brother; she is the more dominant of the two and would try to steal his food. She is good with cats, too.  She does well with cats that like dogs.  We suspect that if a cat smacked her, she would run away crying. She is housed trained, leash trained, and she rides nicely in a car. She is very vocal and likes to bark.  Ever the endearing one, she cries when she gets scared. SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere.
