Story
So the North wind blew and those cool wind loving GP's just can't resist a frolick in the cold breeze. Meet North, found chillin' in the cool breeze and taking a rest. Temperament is fantastic. Sweet and lives for belly rubs. He was on stray hold with no one coming to claim him. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
This adorable little pack—Mom, Dad, and their three precious pups—were found abandoned and surviving together in a field. Despite their rough start, they’ve held onto their gentle spirits and loving hearts. Mom and Dad are a sweet, devoted pair who clearly did their best to protect and raise their puppies in the wild. Now safe and cared for, they’ve blossomed into affectionate, playful companions who just want a cozy home and someone to love them back. This remarkable little family has come so far, and now they’re ready for the next chapter—one filled with comfort, kindness, and forever homes. Could you be part of their happy ending?

Story
Rico is a 4 year old large dog (about 110 pounds) and is generally a good dog. He does resource guard so an experienced owner would be best. He gets along well with other dogs (does try to dominate), and he walks on a leash well. He is also house trained. We are also moving out of state so we are looking for a good home for Rico with an experienced owner who can work with him on his resource guarding tendencies.

Story
This is Mama Violet. Shes around 1yr old, mixed breed dog. She’s settling in wonderfully, she has come out of her shell so much. Loves to play, but also will sleep next to you for hours. She’s learning what toys are, and she getting good at commands. Unfortunately Violet had to get a bath yesterday since she fell in the dirt. She came in to the rescue with her 3 puppies and another male adult dog, they were all found in a field. She’s super sweet, friendly with dogs & cats. She rides well in the car, walks on leash, and sleeps well in her crate at night. She’s just now learning what toys are. She’s a very chill dog, she loves to just lay next to you or sunbathe outside. She’s could be a good apartment dog Beautiful dog with the most amazing markings on her face. Such a sweet girl that came from an unfortunate situation. Story
Daisy is a beautiful and sweet 1.5 yr. old Great Pyreness mix we are having to rehome due to our new living situation. My elderly mother recently had to move in with us, she's allergic & not stable on her feet so we need to rehome her ASAP. She is a sweet active girl that loves to be loved and cuddled. She is approximately 65 pds. (I don't think she will get any bigger). She is energetic & would love to be someone's running buddy. She's formally trained, loves other animals is potty & crate trained & would make a great addition to an active family. She believes she is a lapdog although she's never been allowed on furniture she would happily sit in your lap if you gave her the chance. She does not bark a lot but will alert if somebody is walking past or approaching the house. She is used to being an indoor/outdoor dog & her crate is her safe space. There's a $50 rehome fee, & her crate can come with her.
