Story
This special little guy is RYAN. He is a 1 year old, 12 pound Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu mix who is simply a loyal lover. He is looking for someone to return his love. RYAN gets along with other dogs. I do not have cats so I am not sure how he would do in a cat home. RYAN was found in a very rural area with GROVER, a 1 year old male Chihuahua. They are best buds but they do not need to be adopted together. It would be nice but not necessary. He is not a barker and does not have an aggressive bone in his body. He was a hot mess of long matted hair when found but he was a true trouper while being groomed. He allowed the groomer to handle him and make him look gorgeous and feel better. If you are interested in adopting RYAN, please submit an application on the website below. Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org

Story
Meet Flash! Hi there! My name is Flash, and I’m a 10-year-old, 12-pound Lhasa Apso (or something close to it!) with a big personality packed into a little body. I’m a social guy who truly loves everyone I meet—no warm-up period needed! I’ve been around children ages four and up and do great with them. In fact, one of my favorite parts of the day is when the kids get home from school—I get so excited to see them and join in on the fun! I’m a well-mannered gentleman with great house habits. I’m house trained and prefer lounging on my cozy dog bed over spending time in a crate. I walk nicely on a leash and really enjoy getting out for strolls where I can take my time sniffing, exploring, and checking out the world around me. I even like water, so maybe there are some beach adventures in my future! When it comes to other dogs, I do best with calm, respectful companions. Dogs that are too dominant or “in your face” can make me a little nervous, so I’d love a laid-back canine friend—or to be your one and only. My vision isn’t perfect, but don’t worry—I get around just fine! I may see shadows here and there, but I navigate my world confidently and don’t bump into things. I’m neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped, so I’m all set for my next chapter. If you’re looking for a sweet, friendly, easygoing companion to share your days with, I might just be your guy. I came into rescue after a nice lady kept seeing me tied up outside a local tire shop. I would just lay on the concrete all day. My new people talked the owner of the tire shop into letting me have a better life by finding a new family. That was no way for me to live. Interested in adopting Flash? Please email adopt@thezoeygroup.com for more information and application details.

Story
Voltage is tiny, silky-haired, and absolutely full of herself in the best possible way. She plays with little dogs, big dogs, cats, kids, toddlers, teens, and any human willing to give her a lap to sit in or a set of arms to be carried around. Her energy is contagious, her personality is electric, and once she's decided she likes you, you're going to know it. She loves attention, gives great cuddles, and is currently working on her tolerance for baths and blow dryers (a journey we respect and support). Potty training is coming along nicely, too. She uses her pee pads reliably and is getting the hang of going outside in the grass. Voltage would fit into just about any kind of home because she's too busy having a great time to notice any obstacles. Big family, small apartment, other pets, kids of all ages — doesn’t matter. She just wants to be included, preferably in someone's lap…preferably right now. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.   This dog came to us via an eastern WA shelter after being taken from a property with about 45 dogs on it.  They only knew that place so have been shy initially in new places and with new people.  Please expect this if considering one of these dogs/puppies.   Her coat does not need to be cut like a hair dog but we did it to when she came in to start her over with a fresh start due to her unkept coat.  Her coat is a medium length mix of a flully and scruffy.  There were a lot of scruffy terriers on the property but her color resembles a lhasa mix but is likely just the coat color she ended up with in that huge mix of heinz 57 small breed mixes.   She is a shy but gentle girl.  She will thrive with a quieter home and someone who will continue to make her feel safe and well cared for.  She was great for the groomer and vet staff too.  Loudness and chaos scares her.   If you can continue to shower her with love, kindness, training and all she needs and deserves, please submit our adoption application to get the process started.    Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 25, 2026, 3:20 pm
