PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! LUCY CHEN, her mom ANGELA LOPEZ and her siblings (BAILEY NUNE-JOHN NOLAN-NYLA HARPER) were saved from a horrible hoarding case in Rialto , California. The rescue that was fixing all the cats reached out for us to help ANGELA LOPEZ and her kittens. Now they are all healthy and ready for a real home! Meet LUCY CHEN, a gentle and independent Maine Coon mix with a sleek, silvery and brown coat that glows in the sunlight. LUCY CHEN may not be your typical social butterfly, but don’t let her shy demeanor fool you—she’s a unique, self-sufficient beauty who loves her quiet moments. LUCY CHEN is the type of cat who appreciates space and will let you know when she’s in the mood for a little attention. A gentle pet here and there? She’s all for it—on her terms, of course. But if she’s busy exploring her world or enjoying a cozy nap, she’s perfectly content on her own. Raised with her siblings and mom, LUCY CHEN has always been surrounded by the comfort of her own little family. She’s never been around young children or dogs, so she may prefer to continue being the only pet in her new home. ALUCY CHEN is a cat of routine, relishing her time alone to recharge, and she’s looking for a patient and understanding pet parent who can respect her need for quiet time and space. Although LUCY CHEN may be shy at first, she has a playful side that shines when she’s in the right mood. Whether it’s chasing after a string, pouncing on a toy, or watching birds from a window perch, LUCY CHEN's playful spirit is always there, waiting for the right moment to emerge. She’s the perfect companion for someone who understands the beauty of a more independent feline and wants a cat who’s content with her own company—at least most of the time. LUCY CHEN would thrive in a calm, adult-only home where she can continue to be her laid-back, quirky self. With a little time and a lot of love, she’s sure to show her true personality to the right person. Could you be the patient, understanding person who gives LUCY CHEN the loving, peaceful home she needs? If you think LUCY CHEN could be the purrfect fit for your family, fill out the application at Workinwhiskers.com to learn more about her and start a new chapter together. LUCY CHEN is a DOMESTIC LONG HAIR / MAINECOON MIX. She is about 10 months old. She has lived with cats but needs proper introduction. She has never lived with dogs. She has never been around children. LUCY CHEN is currently at a foster home in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. A lady on Next Door reached out to our rescue partner and asked if she could help a kitten. She was found in a bush alone in Torrance, Ca. SHELL was feisty and so small. Meet SHELL, a reserved three-year-old Diluted Calico Maine Coon from Torrance, California whose soft, pastel-toned fur reflects her gentle and quiet nature. With her long, fluffy coat that blends soft grays, creams, and whites, SHELL is a picture of elegance and grace. She may be shy at first, often preferring to observe her surroundings from a cozy, tucked-away spot, but with a little patience, she begins to open up in her own delicate way. SHELL has a refined personality and will allow pets—but only on her terms. She enjoys gentle head scratches and soft strokes when she's feeling comfortable, making her a true cat who values her independence. She’s skittish with sudden movements or new situations, but given time, her cautious curiosity will win out, and she’ll be quietly near, soaking up the calm energy of her environment. SHELL gets along well with other cats, blending into a multi-cat household without causing any fuss. Her mellow nature makes her unreactive to dogs, so she could live peacefully alongside a calm canine companion as long as they respect her space. While she’s never been around children, SHELL might do well in a quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace without too much hustle and bustle. Her Maine Coon heritage gives her a majestic look with a luxuriously thick coat and a large, regal presence. However, unlike the stereotypical social Maine Coon, SHELL leans into her more reserved, introverted side, making her the perfect match for a patient and understanding caregiver who will give her the time she needs to feel safe and secure. Are you ready to provide a calm, loving home where this beautiful girl can thrive at her own pace? If you’re looking for a quiet, independent companion who will blossom with time, SHELL may just be the perfect addition to your family. SHELL is a DILUTED CALICO / MAINE COON MIX. She is about 3 years and 9 months old and is good with cats. In her foster home, she was around other kittens and older cats. She will probably do best with a very friendly, loving and non aggressive cat or 2 cats. She has never been around children. We are not sure how she will do with dogs, but she is non-reactive. SHELL is currently located at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes, and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. KING KONG was living in a hoarding situation in Fontana, California. The couple had over 50 cats in their home. They got reported and turned in over 20 cats to the shelter. Then the husband left her with the rest of the cast. KING KONG was one of them, He is now ready for a true FUREVER home! Meet KING KONG, a majestic Maine Coon mix from Fontana, California, whose serene presence and giant heart are as legendary as his name. Draped in a luxurious coat and graced with a lion-like ruff, this gentle giant is the epitome of calm and cuddly charm. Don’t let the name fool you—KING KONG isn’t scaling skyscrapers; he’s scaling laps, purring away like a furry motorboat while soaking up all the love and attention you’re willing to give. KING KONG is an unapologetic cuddle bug. His absolute favorite pastime? Being doted on. Whether you're reading, relaxing, or binge-watching your favorite series, he'll happily be your fluffy shadow, stretching out beside you or curling into the coziest corner he can find. With a laid-back nature that could rival a Zen master, he’s more than content to simply exist in your space—quietly, peacefully, and always sweetly. He gets along well with other cats and would thrive in a feline-friendly household. KING KONG has had exposure to dogs but hasn’t quite figured out the harmony of living side by side with them just yet. For now, he’s happiest keeping his canine encounters brief and on his terms. He would do best in a calm, loving environment where he can unwind and continue blossoming into the affectionate companion he’s always wanted to be. Though his early days weren’t the easiest, KING KONG hasn’t let his past dim his light. His resilience is matched only by his tenderness, and he’s ready to swap old shadows for sunbeams, cozy blankets, and the kind of unconditional love he offers so freely. If you're searching for a big-hearted feline friend with a quiet soul, a gentle spirit, and a passion for pets and peace, KING KONG may be just the royal companion you’ve been waiting for. Are you ready to welcome this regal snuggle king into your life? KING KONG is a DOMESTIC LONG HAIR / MAINECOON TUXEDO MIX. He is 5 years 1 month old. He has lived with cats and does fine with them. He has lived with dogs but has not truly interacted with them. He has never been around children. KING KONG is currently at a foster home in San Bernardino, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Story
Meet Iris, our gorgeous Maine coon blend. She was rescued from our local shelter with 5 beautiful 3 day old kittens. Despite being a new mom and being in a strange place, she is a very friendly girl. She gives abundant head bonks and body bumps, and loves attention. She has been an amazing mom, and her babies all have homes after they've been spayed and neutered, so it is now her time to garner the attention she deserves. We do not know much about her previous life. A family dropped her off at the shelter immediately after giving birth to her babies. We don't know if she was a community cat, or if the family just couldn't afford to do what was necessary from a medical standpoint. But she was clean and friendly, so we are assuming she was a family pet. We now know that she requires a quiet home, older children or a child free home, with no other pets. She is very frightened of dogs, and does not do well with other cats. She is very affectionate with people, though, and would love to watch your favorite shows with you!

Story
Oakley is the name! We rescued him when he was a couple months old. Hes 1 years old now .. He needs lots of attention. Loves his daily wet food & treats! Unknown if he does well with other cats or dogs. He is an inside cat & always has been. We also have a 6ft cat tree that we would send with him because it’s his favorite! We have twin babies (7 months) & hes too much cat to be around them so we keep them separated. He would do best in a house with no young babies. I do believe with more attention he would calm down but unfortunately we just cant give him the time he needs. Hes a sweet boy & really needs a loving home with people who could give him the time he needs & deserves.
