Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Hera! This gorgeous fluffy girl is a Maine Coon (mom was purebred Maine Coon and dad was 1/3 Maine Coon). She has the good looks and awesome personality the breed is known for. She is incredibly affectionate and friendly and loves everyone she meets. She has a dog-like personality and wants nothing more than to sit with you and be pet. She gets along great all the other cats and dogs at her foster home- a true friend of everyone! She has very long, thick fur that gets easily matted (she had to have some mats shaved off when she arrived at DPR). So she will definitely need someone who is committed to brushing and grooming her regularly to keep her comfortable. She is a stunning cat who captures the hearts of everyone who meets her!  This cat is spayed, microchipped, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Persephone! This overly-affectionate fluffy girl is looking for a home to call her own! She is desperate for love and attention and soaks up all the pets you're willing to give her! She will follow you around, seeking out affection from her human friends. She does not seem to be a big fan of cats, but she's been okay with the dog at her foster home. Believe us, she will provide so much love and affection that you won't need any other cats besides her!! She has very soft, almost rabbit-soft hair that is very long and fluffy - especially her poofy tail! When she's not actively being pet by someone, you can find her lounging on the windowsill watching the people walk by. The posted pictures are from the shelter, but we will update them soon with pictures from her foster home. She is a really special girl who will be a wonderful companion! This cat is spayed, microchipped, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative. Story
Zima is the definition of a gentle little wallflower. She’s shy at first and tends to hide while she figures things out, but underneath that cautious exterior is a sweet, sensitive kitten who just needs someone patient enough to let her bloom at her own pace.Once she feels safe, Zima shows her softer side through quiet companionship. She loves bird watching from the window and will happily curl up beside you in bed at night. She’s completely docile and tolerant of nail trims and brushing, making her an easygoing companion even when she’s feeling timid.Zima would do best starting out in a small space like a bathroom or bedroom while she adjusts to her new home and people. Having time to settle in slowly will help her confidence grow tremendously. She absolutely adores other cats and feels safest with feline friends around, so a multicat home would be ideal for her. Watching her little personality emerge around other kitties is seriously heart melting. If you’re the kind of person who understands that love sometimes takes time, Zima is ready to reward your patience with affection, tiny moments of trust, and the sweetest companionship.

Story
Grant’s story started out a little rough, but you’d never guess it from the cat he is now. He came into our care through a TNR program absolutely covered in mats from head to toe. Somehow, the incredible team at PAWS Grant Avenue worked their magic and were able to gently brush him out during his neuter, sparing him from a full shave.Because of that, his coat is still growing back in and may look a little thinner right now, but don’t worry, he’s getting fluffier by the day and well on his way to his full glow-up.What Grant may have lacked in grooming when he arrived, he more than makes up for in personality. He is incredibly affectionate, the kind of cat who leans into you for pets and soaks up every bit of attention he can get. He’s also playful and curious, always ready to chase a toy or settle in for some quality birdwatching. And if snacks are involved, you’ve officially made a best friend for life.Grant has clearly decided that indoor life is the good life, and he’s embracing every second of it. He’s the perfect mix of sweet, fun, and a little bit silly, and he’s ready to bring a lot of love (and personality) into his future home.
