Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Pepsi! This gorgeous, regal, big, fluffy guy is such a loveable sweetie! He is a definite lap cat and just wants to be on your lap all the time. He loves to be held and talked to. He is very calm and gentle, and he gets along great with all the other cats and kittens he is being fostered with. He is good with dogs and kids too. Just an all around great guy! He has long hair that is very soft and gigantic feet! You can often find him lounging all cuddled up in one of the cozy cat beds. Someone threw him outside to fend for himself through this harsh winter. (We included a picture of him in the snow). We agreed to take him in, and he is clearly so grateful to be an inside cat again and be warm and fed! He is perfect with the litter box and does not scratch anything he shouldn't. He has very good house manners! We just love Pepsi, and we know you will too! He'll make a wonderful addition to your home!  This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms       Adoption fee is: $200 Can’t adopt? Consider donating! We are in need of cat food, litter, and enrichment items for the kitties in our care!    Links to our Amazon and Chewy wishlists: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/QFBUQI1CQBCZhttps://chewygivesback.prf.hn/click/camref:1100lkBUr/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.chewy.com%2Fg%2Fdelaware-pet-rescue_b88829590 If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms    This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as 'available for adoption', that means the animal is still in DPR's care. *Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up 'curb side'. Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *     DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:  Initial vet visit Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)Distemper vaccinationSNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart wormBroad spectrum dewormers Monthly flea/tick preventative Ear mite preventative The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 2, 2026, 3:00 pm

If I was exceptionally social outdoors but now that she's inside she's a little freaked out she's spent the last 3 years living on the streets after her prior owners moved leaving her behind! We suspect she absolutely adores head scratches, snacks, and lower back scratches too!

Story
Simba is a 7 year old Maine coon mix. She is a tough nut to crack but once you do she absolutely loves to lay and watch tv on the couch and cuddle up on your lap. She is fully up to date on vaccines, spayed, house trained, comfortable living with a dog (kids untested), and litter box trained. She is a former street cat so she does have some anxiety and territorial issues when it comes to her food. Once she is comfortable with you it will be no issue, though. Her anxiety tends to be from new stimulus and people she is unfamiliar with, she would do great in a low stress home or with someone who will be patient with her and allow her to open up on her own time. She currently takes 5mg of fluoxetine daily, which has helped her anxiety a lot and that is the only medication she takes. She tends to stay to herself for the most part but as aforementioned does love to cuddle when it is on her terms. She is also very food motivated and loves treat toys and to play while also being independent.
