Story
Meet Luna! She is a 3-year-old purebred princess. She came into our lives through an online adoption and has been loved and taken care of. Luna is a true lap dog who thrives on affection and calm companionship. She loves car rides, belly scratches, cozy naps, and will get the cutest zoomies when she’s happy. She bonds closely with her person and does best in a peaceful, predictable environment where she can feel secure and spoiled. Luna would be happiest in an adult-only home. She is not playful with children and needs a home with no kids and no plans for kids, so she can relax and have all of the attention she deserves. Because of this, we are looking for a home that is a better match for her needs. This decision comes from a place of love and responsibility. Our goal is simply to find Luna a safe, calm, and loving forever home where she can truly thrive.

Story
Knox came in to the shelter in very bad condition on the outside, but on the inside, this love-bug has a heart of gold. Even in the horrible condition of his fur, he had kisses for the staff and wanted to be held. He came in with another female who was also in bad condition. We immediately took him to the groomer and had all the hair stripped off. You can see in the "before" picture how bad he was. He and the female (Indie) seem very bonded and may be related, so we will try to adopt them together if possible. He had been seen wandering through parking lots in Stockton for a week before arriving, so we do not know where he was living before here. New owner should be prepared to work on house manners in case he hasn't had any prior training. The vet estimates he is between 1 and 3, so we settled on 2. Dog will need regular grooming in the future. $350.00 adoption will help us with the grooming, vaccinations, microchipping and neuter. Let's get this good boy a much better home. Story
Meet Cloonie, a cuddly and playful Pug and Maltipoo mix pup born on April 16, 2025. Weighing in at 22 lbs, this cutie is a great size for playtime and lovings. Cloonie found his way to us because his youthful puppy energy was simply too playful for his previous owner's senior dog, so he is now searching for a home that matches his zest for life. He is a friendly, social boy who is wonderful with children as young as three years old, making him an excellent addition to a family. Potential adopters should be prepared to offer Cloonie some extra patience and consistency, as he still needs work on his house training. He is currently vaccinated and microchipped, and his adoption fee is $350. Cloonie is scheduled to be neutered on February 18th and will be ready to head to his forever home the very next day on February 19th. Apply for Cloonie at www.petsnpals.org! Rescue Plea – Senior Dog with Heart MurmurThis senior dog is in need of rescue placement due to several medical conditions that will require ongoing monitoring and care.On examination, she was noted to have a grade 4–5/6 heart murmur, most consistent with suspected myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD), though other cardiac disease cannot be ruled out without advanced diagnostics such as an echocardiogram. Chest radiographs did not show obvious heart enlargement or pulmonary changes, but early heart disease remains possible and she may require monitoring and cardiac medications in the future.Radiographs also showed mild enlargement of the liver (hepatomegaly), the cause of which is unknown. This may represent a primary liver condition or a reactive change and may benefit from additional evaluation with a private veterinarian.Bloodwork performed showed mild anemia and leukopenia (low white blood cell count). These findings can have a variety of causes and should be monitored with repeat bloodwork by a private veterinarian. She also had severe dental disease and has already undergone a dental procedure with multiple tooth extractions to address infected teeth. This dog is bright, alert, and responsive, but due to her medical needs and the likelihood of ongoing monitoring and potential treatment, she would benefit from placement with a rescue partner that can provide continued medical oversight and support.Rescue placement will help ensure she receives the follow-up care and monitoring needed to maintain a good quality of life.
