Story
Meet Bella the Poodle mix! ShiPoo? Maybe! Maltipoo? Maybe! Bella is a party color “Poodley Dooddley” according to our unofficial opinion! She weighs about 8 pounds and is on the tiny side! She is full grown and is 3 years old. Stats: Bella has never had a single accident in her foster home. She doesn’t mind her crate, but prefers sleeping with her foster family. Bella is a timid girl at first, she’s hand shy, so she’d like a child free (no kids under 12 years) please. After she warms up, she will follow you everywhere and want to lay right next to you on the couch. Bella has not shown any interest in toys or playing with the other dogs in her foster family. She does love car rides and walking around the back yard with her foster mom. Leash walking is not her jam, she’s fine with a back yard romp in the fenced in yard. Bella is a pretty low energy gal. She gets super excited and can be vocal at mealtime and for a minute or two when foster mom goes to work and when she comes home - she has plenty of words to say! While a fenced in yard is not required, she does like to be outside if you go with her. She would be fine going out on leash. Because she’s a timid gal, we would not want her off leash outside of a secure fenced in yard. An electric fence would not be a good idea for her. She would do ok with kids over the age of 12. Other dogs are fine so long as they are not interested in playing with her. She ignores her foster family dogs. If you are looking for a dog social dog, Bella is not it! She likes her adult people and pretty much ignores everything else. We were told that she is good with cats, but since her foster home does not have cats, we cannot confirm that. Bella likes to wear sweaters and dresses so if you want a Princess, she might be ideal for you. She’d love someone who is lower key like her that will sit on the couch with her and hang out. She’s happy to be out and about if you carry her (she’s tiny and a Princess after all)! Bella is a good eater, and seems to prefer dry food over wet, but enjoys a little freshly cooked vegetables on the side. A treat is great, but she’s not much of a chewer. Therefore, your shoes and furniture are safe! She’s been easy breezy as a foster. Bella is a Poodle mix and will require professional grooming every 6 weeks or so and cost of grooming needs to be considered when adopting her. Her recent groom was $70. **We do require a home visit for Bella, so adopters will need to live in the Atlanta area.** If you are interested in adopting Bella, please fill out an application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY/Dog **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. When filling out an application, please check for a confirmation email to be sure that your application went through. We respond by email, so please check your spam and trash folders. **Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. ----------- • Rescue Story: Meet Tonki👋 In April 2025, a group of small dogs—believed to be victims of an illegal breeding operation—were found abandoned together on the streets of South Korea. Tonki was one of them. Now, he’s ready to leave his difficult past behind and begin a new chapter as a beloved member of a loving family. Having learned how to live happily with humans in his foster home, Tonki is patiently waiting for his forever home—where he’ll be cherished, protected, and loved the way he truly deserves. • Personality: Sweet, Friendly, Bright Tonki is a lovable, easygoing pup with a bright, happy energy. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves showing his humans just how much love he has to give! While he may need a little extra time to warm up to adult men, once he does, he becomes a loyal and devoted furry companion. • Affinity with - Dogs: Wonderful with other dogs! He’d do great as an only dog or as a second dog. - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Good with people, including kids / Needs a bit more time to warm up to adult men. • House Training: Fully housebroken - using pee pads indoors and going potty outside. • Walking Manners: Super gentle on leash and loves going for walks! • Bathing/Brushing: Tolerates both well. • Separation Anxiety: May howl briefly when first left alone, but once he settled, he relaxes and rests peacefully by himself. • Barks/Howls: Occasional barking when a male family member approaches suddenly. • Car Rides: Comfortable and calm • Appetite/Food Allergies: Big eater! / No food allergies found so far. • Likes/Dislikes: Likes to play with toys that make noise. / Not a fan of being lifted suddenly by a male family member • Shedding level (1~10): 1-2 • Health: Currently a healthy pup! He tested positive for heartworm when rescued, completed treatment successfully, and tested negative in Dec 2025. ----------- **Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Story
Bailey  is a 2.5 year-old Maltese mix .  He was surrendered  because  his owner  was not prepared for the energy of a young puppy .  He is all legs and is still like a gangly Colt at this point.  He's very kissy and huggable once he gets to know you,  but he also has lots of energy and so will need a fenced-in backyard.  Bailey is not good with children, so he would be best in a home with adults and no kids under 13.  He weighs 15 pounds. He is house trained (not perfect) and crate trained. Alcovy dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines, up to date on heart-worm preventative and flea preventative and micro-chipped. If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on Alcovy Pet Rescue's website at www.alcovypet.com. You must have a vet reference to adopt. We verify the care of past/current pets. Applications without a vet reference will not be approved for adoption. Our goal is to have the very best home for all our dogs and cats and therefore we reserve the right to approve or deny an application based on what we determine is in the pet's best interest. If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on Alcovy Pet Rescue's website at www.alcovypet.com.  You must have a vet reference to adopt.  We verify the care of past/current pets.  Applications without a vet reference will not be approved for adoption.
