Story
• Rescue Story: Meet Tonki👋 In April 2025, a group of small dogs—believed to be victims of an illegal breeding operation—were found abandoned together on the streets of South Korea. Tonki was one of them. Now, he’s ready to leave his difficult past behind and begin a new chapter as a beloved member of a loving family. Having learned how to live happily with humans in his foster home, Tonki is patiently waiting for his forever home—where he’ll be cherished, protected, and loved the way he truly deserves. • Personality: Sweet, Friendly, Bright Tonki is a lovable, easygoing pup with a bright, happy energy. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves showing his humans just how much love he has to give! While he may need a little extra time to warm up to adult men, once he does, he becomes a loyal and devoted furry companion. • Affinity with - Dogs: Wonderful with other dogs! He’d do great as an only dog or as a second dog. - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Good with people, including kids / Needs a bit more time to warm up to adult men. • House Training: Fully housebroken - using pee pads indoors and going potty outside. • Walking Manners: Super gentle on leash and loves going for walks! • Bathing/Brushing: Tolerates both well. • Separation Anxiety: May howl briefly when first left alone, but once he settled, he relaxes and rests peacefully by himself. • Barks/Howls: Occasional barking when a male family member approaches suddenly. • Car Rides: Comfortable and calm • Appetite/Food Allergies: Big eater! / No food allergies found so far. • Likes/Dislikes: Likes to play with toys that make noise. / Not a fan of being lifted suddenly by a male family member • Shedding level (1~10): 1-2 • Health: Currently a healthy pup! He tested positive for heartworm when rescued, completed treatment successfully, and tested negative in Dec 2025. ----------- **Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Story
Alloy is a deeply sweet guy who is working through some fear issues that typically have to do with being handled. He was adopted for a few weeks but ultimately needed to come back to PAWS because of these challenges. He finds fast movements, being picked up or having a harness put over his head pretty triggering. For this reason, Alloy will need an adult-only, low-stress home, where he can have some time and space to decompress. Our trainer has evaluated Alloy and feels he can do very well in the right home. She is willing to work with his adopters to provide the training and tips needed (at no charge) to help him successfully transition into his new home. Even with his challenges, Alloy is a loving dog and has tested well with other dogs.

Story
UPDATE APRIL 25 —  what a difference another few weeks has brought to Kiko. He is now neutered and has his umbilical hernia repaired and has all his shots and is HW NEGATIVE.  He loves to play fetch and is playing tug of war with toys with his sibs. He loves his walks and he does them on a leash. If the walk is long I will carry him a ways here and there to relive his back legs. His legs have strengthen and stretched and he can now get up on his hind legs for short periods. He is running, playing, and remains my loyal shadow.  He will need a mom that loves to have her boy close at all times. He gets upset if he cannot see me, though he does fine left in the house while I grocery shop and do errands. He loves to find and chew sticks and toys and my hand which I have been stopping him from doing but it’s his favorite thing so it’s a battle. Hide the hands and redirect him to stuffies.  He has a consultation with Southeast veterinary specialists to look at his back knees on May 5.  This is one of the smartest, sweetest, boy I have ever had live with me. He is a joy and he is a lot as he needs mom all the time. He sleeps with his head on my shoulder. He is not independent so be prepared for total love 100% of the time. UPDATE APRIL4 - Kiko weighed in at 7.3 lbs this morning after his second breakfast  he came to us at 4.2  you can watch his first bath on FB post link below.  Kiko has had his first groom which was mostly a shave to the skin due to his matting, however it is growing in quickly. He does not like to be groomed so I am using a soft brush on him daily and a face wash to get him used to being taken care of. Kiko loves his daily walk with the pack and does most of it in a sling however he does short stints on a leash and loves it. Kiko is potty trained but he has to go out every couple of hours. He will use a pee pad while kenneled in a penned in area with a bed, pee pad, water, and treats, when I have to leave for a few hours. He loves to play tug and fetch with toy stuffies. He yawns to release his stress/energy excitement and with every yawn he makes the cutest sound.  Kiko will be neutered mid April and have his shots done now that he has recovered from his early life.  His back legs have gotten stronger but will need knee surgery on his left hind leg.  He is the most loving sweetest little man ever. He has a wonderful personality and is so smart.  March 22 intake write up —— Sweet, loving, loyal shadow, lap dependent 3 year old Maltipoo needs a good home with a person who works from home or is retired.  This young boy has not been treated kindly in his early years but is willing to forgive and forget for a loving home.  He has come into his foster home eagerly accepting love, food, training, and lots of lap time.  He would do well as the only dog or with others. He ignores the foster cats, and is respectful of the dogs in his foster home.  Kiko has issues with his back legs in that they are weak and need physical training to make them stronger and stretch his tendons that are too short from being in a too small crate for too long. He is also severely underweight but eating well and gaining weight and strength every day.  He still needs to be neutered and have his shots updated as he gains enough health to be ready for the procedures. He will be ready to be adopted once this happens in the near future. His full story can be seen on Facebook StreetPaws.org page.  https://fb.watch/GgY3RjI5wL/?    You can fill out an adoption form by going to StreetPaws.org.   Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150-mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions.  To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at    https://www.streetpaws.org/home/adopt.       This application does not commit you to an adoption. Story
Dastan isn’t just a dog—he’s a loyal, big-hearted companion waiting to be someone’s whole world. This loving boy thrives on attention and affection, and he’s happiest when he can soak up every bit of love you have to give. Dastan would do best as the only pet in the home, where he can truly shine and build a deep, one-on-one bond with his person. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who will greet you with excitement, stay by your side, and fill your days with warmth, Dastan is ready to give you his whole heart.*Please be aware that he follows a strict low-fat diet, and his treats must be made with limited, simple ingredients. He will also need dental care and vaccinations completed immediately, looking for someone prepared to take that on right away.I am hoping to find a home that understands his needs and is ready to provide the care and attention he deserves. Please only apply if you are confident you can meet these requirements.
