Story
** Current location: in a boarding house in South Korea ** Meet Lulu👋 In April 2025, a group of small dogs—likely victims of an illegal breeding operation—were found abandoned together on the streets of South Korea. Lulu was one of them. Her sagging nipples hinted at the harsh life she had endured, likely used repeatedly for breeding. Lulu is ready to leave her difficult past behind and finally enjoy life as a cherished member of a loving family. She’s looking for a forever home where she’ll be cared for and loved the way she deserves. • Personality: Gentle, Calm, Sweet Lulu doesn’t seem to have received much love from humans in the past. She doesn’t actively seek out attention or affection from volunteers, but she’s such a sweet and gentle little girl. We believe that with time and patience, once she learns how to interact and bond with people, her true personality will shine—just like any beloved family dog. • Affinity with - Dogs: Gentle around other dogs - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Good with adults / Not tested with kids, but we assume she would be good with all gentle people! • Walking Manners: In training—she gets quite nervous on a leash due to a lack of walking experience but also seems curious about the outdoors. With consistent practice, she’s likely to improve over time. • Housetrained: Will need housetraining in a new environment • Bathing/Brushing: Very good and calm • Car Sickness: Comfortable with car rides • Separation Anxiety: None • Barks/Howls: Almost none. • Appetite/Food Allergies: No food allergies found so far • Shedding level (1~10): 2-3 • Likes: She likes getting pets! • Health: When rescued, Lulu was weak and suffering from hematuria caused by a bladder stone, which required immediate surgery. Thankfully, she has made a full recovery! However, she will need a bit of ongoing special care, such as a urinary health diet and limited calcium intake.

Story
** Current location: in a boarding house in South Korea ** Meet Hani👋 In April 2025, a group of small dogs—believed to be survivors of an illegal breeding operation—were discovered abandoned on the streets of South Korea. Hani was among them. The condition of her sagging nipples suggested a tough past, likely having been used repeatedly for breeding. Now, Hani is ready to move on from that painful chapter and experience the warmth of a loving home. She’s hoping to find a forever family who will give her the care and affection she’s always deserved. • Personality: Gentle, Calm, Sweet Hani likely hasn’t experienced much kindness or affection from people in the past. She doesn’t go out of her way to ask for attention from volunteers, but she’s an incredibly gentle and endearing little girl. With time, patience, and love, we’re confident that she’ll begin to open up—and her true personality will blossom, just like any cherished family dog. • Affinity with - Dogs: Gentle around other dogs - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Good with adults / Not tested with kids, but we assume she would be good with all gentle people! • Walking Manners: In training—she gets quite nervous on a leash due to a lack of walking experience and tries to run away. With consistent practice, she’s likely to improve over time. • Housetrained: Will need housetraining in a new environment • Bathing/Brushing: Very good and calm • Car Sickness: Comfortable with car rides • Separation Anxiety: None • Barks/Howls: Almost none. • Appetite/Food Allergies: No food allergies found so far • Shedding level (1~10): 2-3 • Likes: She enjoys getting pets! • Health: She has a mild yeast infection in the ears, which is one of the most common types of ear infections, often related to allergies. This usually improves with a bit of care—feeding him an allergy-friendly diet and cleaning his ears at home with ear drops every three days.

Story
Coconut AKA Coco is a 14 year old schnauzer-maltese mix! She’s very calm and enjoys resting, sunbathing, & going on walks every so often. :) She’s been our loyal family dog for all 14 years of her life, so we’re looking for someone who will love her wholeheartedly and continue to give her joy for the rest of her life! She’s fairly healthy, lungs and heart are in great condition and she’s very mobile. She has slight arthritis which normally only flares up when its raining. Other than that she’s a healthy pup and has a lot of life left to live. Our reason for surrendering her is because I unfortunately don’t have the time to give her the attention she deserves. I travel far distances and for extended amount of time frequently, and as you can imagine- it’s not a suitable lifestyle for having pets. Thank you for taking the time to look over Coconut’s page. Hope to meet one of you soon!

Story
Bailey  is a 2.5 year-old Maltese mix .  He was surrendered  because  his owner  was not prepared for the energy of a young puppy .  He is all legs and is still like a gangly Colt at this point.  He's very kissy and huggable once he gets to know you,  but he also has lots of energy and so will need a fenced-in backyard.  Bailey is not good with children, so he would be best in a home with adults and no kids under 13.  He weighs 15 pounds. He is house trained (not perfect) and crate trained. Alcovy dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines, up to date on heart-worm preventative and flea preventative and micro-chipped. If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on Alcovy Pet Rescue's website at www.alcovypet.com. You must have a vet reference to adopt. We verify the care of past/current pets. Applications without a vet reference will not be approved for adoption. Our goal is to have the very best home for all our dogs and cats and therefore we reserve the right to approve or deny an application based on what we determine is in the pet's best interest. If interested in adoption, please complete an online application on Alcovy Pet Rescue's website at www.alcovypet.com.  You must have a vet reference to adopt.  We verify the care of past/current pets.  Applications without a vet reference will not be approved for adoption.
