Story
Jasper Male Poodle DOB: 3/13/2021 Adoption Fee: $300 Jasper is a sweet boy that just wants to be loved and cared for. He had a really hard start to his life, and would really love to experience a home that he is safe and taken care of. With this boy, he will need some extra work to find his trust. He is looking for someone that is calm and can give him patience with his nervousness around people given his past. With proper socialization and time, this boy will be such a happy boy that will blossom into the amazing dog he is. Could you be that person that shows Jasper there are good people out there? Please give this boy a chance, he deserves to be spoiled and loved for the rest of his life! Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are current on vaccines/deworming, and microchipped. We are open 12pm-5pm Sunday-Friday and 10 am-5pm on Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Thank you, HSMC Staff ADOPTION FEES Adoption Fees may change without notice. Story
✨KIKI✨ Kiki is an adorable 8-pound Maltese mix estimated to be around 4–5 years old. She came to us from a local animal shelter. Kiki is the perfect combination of playful and cuddly. She is happy to zoom around the backyard, or play with her toys one minute, then curl up in your lap for snuggles the next. This sweet girl loves attention, gives the best little kisses, and has a funny, lovable personality that keeps her foster mom smiling. Kiki enjoys car rides and loves to look out the window watching the world go by. She has great energy without being overwhelming and would fit well with someone looking for a companion who can keep up with playtime but also happily settle in for a relaxing evening at home. If you’re looking for a loving little sidekick with a great personality, and endless affection, Kiki may just be your perfect match. 🐾

Story
• Rescue Story: Meet Tonki👋 In April 2025, a group of small dogs—believed to be victims of an illegal breeding operation—were found abandoned together on the streets of South Korea. Tonki was one of them. Now, he’s ready to leave his difficult past behind and begin a new chapter as a beloved member of a loving family. Having learned how to live happily with humans in his foster home, Tonki is patiently waiting for his forever home—where he’ll be cherished, protected, and loved the way he truly deserves. • Personality: Sweet, Friendly, Bright Tonki is a lovable, easygoing pup with a bright, happy energy. He’s incredibly affectionate and loves showing his humans just how much love he has to give! While he may need a little extra time to warm up to adult men, once he does, he becomes a loyal and devoted furry companion. • Affinity with - Dogs: Wonderful with other dogs! He’d do great as an only dog or as a second dog. - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Good with people, including kids / Needs a bit more time to warm up to adult men. • House Training: Fully housebroken - using pee pads indoors and going potty outside. • Walking Manners: Super gentle on leash and loves going for walks! • Bathing/Brushing: Tolerates both well. • Separation Anxiety: May howl briefly when first left alone, but once he settled, he relaxes and rests peacefully by himself. • Barks/Howls: Occasional barking when a male family member approaches suddenly. • Car Rides: Comfortable and calm • Appetite/Food Allergies: Big eater! / No food allergies found so far. • Likes/Dislikes: Likes to play with toys that make noise. / Not a fan of being lifted suddenly by a male family member • Shedding level (1~10): 1-2 • Health: Currently a healthy pup! He tested positive for heartworm when rescued, completed treatment successfully, and tested negative in Dec 2025. ----------- **Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Story
JoJo was born May 14, 2012. My parents adopted him. In 2014, due to a medical emergency, I was asked to keep him for a little while, which has lasted 12 years. JoJo is a small dog easily tucked into the crook of your elbow if you want to carry him. He loves to cuddle and loves being petted and scratched. Once you start petting him, he'll just keep nudging your hand as if to say "more". He loves going on walks. He even loves coming across other dogs so he can bark at them. Just don't let other dogs get too close because he doesn't really get along with them. He has lived with another dog so it is possible for him to adjust. In 2024 JoJo was diagnosed with sterile nodular panniculitis. It is a long-term health condition. His medication regimen is quite easy to administer. He gets a daily dose of liquid medication with a treat after and a 1/2 pill every 3 days. He has been quite stable on his treatment program- no flareups. He spends most of the day sleeping. He is a senior after all. :-)
