Story
Name: Thea Sex: Female Estimated Age: 2 years old Best Guess for Breed: Maltese Mix Weight: About 10 lbs Good With: Dogs, cats, kids and all people! Housebroken? Yes Rescued from: North Carolina About Lizzie: We are so happy to have Thea safe and sound in a foster home in the DC area now. Thea is a happy sweet girl who loves people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. Thea is just looking for someone to be her new best furend and we know that she will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. Like all dogs, Thea will need an adopter who is committed to setting her up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising her both mentally and physically. She will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive! The fee to adopt Thea is $475. That covers the cost of all her vaccines, her spay, the collar she’s wearing, and her care in her foster home. She’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines. If you think that Thea might be your perfect match, apply today!September 14, 2026, 2:23 pm

Story
Marley is a gentle, well‑mannered 6‑year‑old, 6‑lb pup looking for a loving forever home. I’ve been her second owner for the past three years, and she has been an absolute joy. She rarely barks, loves being petted, and enjoys simply being near her people. Marley has worked with a professional trainer to improve her leash manners, especially her tendency to pull, and she’s made great progress. She also has minor allergies that are easily managed. She’s a sweet, calm companion who would thrive with someone who wants a quiet, affectionate dog with a big heart in a tiny body.

Please contact Darlene at 302-312-5129 (fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in Newark, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 302-312-5129 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. September 14, 2026, 8:38 pm

Story
Meet Ivony Ivony is a sweet and loving Maltese girl who is looking for a wonderful forever home. She was originally purchased for $1,600 and has been deeply loved and cared for. She is truly one of the sweetest, most affectionate little dogs you could meet. Ivony loves being around people and getting attention. She is gentle, playful, and very affectionate. She enjoys being brushed and lets you brush her hair, which makes grooming her a sweet bonding experience. She loves being pampered, cuddled, and included in the family. She is semi potty trained and has already made progress, although she may still have occasional accidents. She is young and continuing to learn, so she would do best with someone patient and consistent who can continue her potty-training routine. Ivony has had some difficulty getting along with our Pomeranian, Mylo. Because of their personalities and interactions, we believe Ivony may be happiest in a home where she can receive plenty of individual attention
