They are scared and under-socialized, but with patience and kind routines, they can begin to feel safe and loved. 💖 Personality & Temperament * Very timid and unsure of people * Learning what it means to live indoors and be part of a family * Each dog is different—some may approach sooner, others may need more time to feel safe * Get along with other dogs 🏡 Ideal Home We’re looking for patient adopters who understand that these dogs are starting from scratch and will need time to adjust. Requirements & Important Notes: * Securely Fenced-in yard required: They are not leash trained yet and are too frightened for walks. * Somewhat potty trained: They’re learning to use pee pads indoors and will need continued guidance and routine. * Not leash trained: They will need time to get comfortable with a leash. They do not potty on leash hence the fenced in yard requirement. * A calm, patient home is best, and a friendly resident dog can help them learn faster. 🌱 What They Need From You * Time * Patience * Soft voices * Gentle, slow moving hands * A commitment to helping them learn that the world is safe In return, you’ll get to witness one of the most beautiful transformations: a scared little dog discovering joy, comfort, and love—maybe for the very first time. 🌼 Meet Our “Gentleman’s Club 7” Breeder-Release Maltese Dogs 🌼 (Reginald, Clarence, Edwin, Percival, Wilfred, Bertram, and Theodore) Meet Edwin 💙 — a tiny 7-lb Maltese with a huge personality and a talent for making people laugh. Edwin is a funny little guy who brings big, joyful energy… especially when other dogs are around. Living in a home with people is still very new to him, so he’s currently scared of being held or touched by humans. What he lacks in confidence with people, he more than makes up for in his love of dogs — they make him very happy and help him feel safe. Edwin is under-socialized, but with patience, gentle handling, and consistent, kind routines, he can begin to feel secure and learn what it means to be loved. He’ll do best in a calm home that lets him move at his own pace and celebrates small wins. He has walked on a leash at an adoption event, though he hasn’t pottied on leash yet. In a securely fenced yard, he does know how to use a doggy door. REQUIREMENTS: • Edwin must have another social dog in the home (all sizes are fine!) Hi there! I’m Theodore! I’m part of the Gentlemen’s Club. We were all released from a breeder, and placed into foster homes, so I’m a little unsure of things right now. My foster mom keeps tossing me treats, so I’m starting to like her. Her snuggles are getting tolerable as well. I even wiggle my tail when I see her now! I LOVE seeing what all my foster siblings are doing. I think I’d like to play, and I like the toys that I find, but I’m still working on my confidence. I’d do best in a home with another dog to show me around, and a secure fence, since I’m not great on a leash(yet!). I’m learning every day though, and gaining more confidence! I have been working on going potty outside, and doing well on a consistent routine. Meet Reginald (aka Reggie) 💙 Reginald is a sweet little Maltese breeder release who is just beginning to discover how wonderful life can be. He’s about 1.5 years old and weighs around 10 lbs, making him the perfect small companion with a big heart. 🐕 Reggie is gentle, endearing, and quietly affectionate once he feels safe. Because he didn’t get to experience a normal puppyhood, he will need another friendly, social dog in the home to help show him the ropes and teach him how to “dog” by example. Having a canine buddy gives him confidence and comfort. ✨ House & Training Reggie is doing great with potty training when kept on a consistent schedule. He has been using a small x-pen area in the yard and is going outside reliably. A fenced yard is not required. 👨‍👩‍👧 Kids & Home Environment We recommend a home with adults or older, respectful children who understand the importance of giving Reggie time, patience, and space as he adjusts to a new environment.
