Meet Bailey and Charlie! They are both Maltese/Yorkie mixes; Bailey (the lighter colored one) is a female around age 16, and Charlie (the darker colored one) is a male around age 12-13. These two senior pups came to Husky House when their elderly owner unfortunately passed away. Bailey and Charlie are sweet, affectionate dogs who love to be pet, held, and sit in your lap. They are good with people and other dogs; they have never been cat tested, but would likely also do well with cats. Please help these sweet seniors live out their golden years in a loving home! Maui is looking for a quiet adult only home with a patient, experienced dog owner that will help him to feel secure again after being anxious in his previous shelter experience. He is nervous especially at vet and groomer and needs to be the only pet in the home. Maui is very friendly, housebroken and listens well. He just needs some TLC to help him feel loved and safe. Lady’s a 7yo 10lb Maltese mix. She’s dog selective, cat and kid 13+ friendly. She’s housebroken if kept on a schedule but will wear a diaper and use pee pads and crate trained. She’s good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. She’s agile, smart, likes squeaky toys, people and going for walks but will bark at people, dogs and noises. She is easy startled so best to sleep in a dog bed on the floor so not to accidentally wake her while sleeping. Lady’s foster requires a calm home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, be an only dog, brushed/groomed often to prevent matting along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Lady as all dogs should have 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Lady takes medication for a seizure disorder and for her eyes. She’s spayed, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Phila, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

Because of that, shes still learning what it truly means to be someones dog and to live the cozy, carefree life she always deserved. Shes currently on a weight-loss journey (go, girl!) and doing her best as she starts this new chapter. At first, Matilda can be shy and observant, preferring the safety of her crate while she takes in the world around her. But once she feels safe and comfortable? Oh, thats when the magic happens. Shell come out for happy little zoomies, gentle affection, and sweet moments that make it clear just how much love shes been saving up. Watching her confidence grow is truly something special. Matilda is crate trained and doing fantastic with house training, especially considering everything is still so new to her. She hasnt tried walking on a leash yet, so that will be another adventure she gets to learn at her own pace. She absolutely loves treats (a great way to win her heart), and shes very friendly with other dogs. In fact, she would likely thrive in a home with another dog who can help show her the ropes and reassure her that life is safe and good now. This little lady is looking for a patient, kindhearted person who can see her potential and give her the time and space to blossom. The love Matilda gives once she trusts you is quiet, sincere, and deeply rewarding the kind of love that feels earned and extra special. Matilda is ready to start the life shes always waited for.
