Meet Bailey and Charlie! They are both Maltese/Yorkie mixes; Bailey (the lighter colored one) is a female around age 16, and Charlie (the darker colored one) is a male around age 12-13. These two senior pups came to Husky House when their elderly owner unfortunately passed away. Bailey and Charlie are sweet, affectionate dogs who love to be pet, held, and sit in your lap. They are good with people and other dogs; they have never been cat tested, but would likely also do well with cats. Please help these sweet seniors live out their golden years in a loving home! He’s not big on treats or chews and has a tendency to chew at his paws—possibly due to a chicken allergy (as reported by his previous owner), so a chicken-free diet is recommended. Home Requirements: A fenced yard is a plus but not required—these two are content with walks and indoor potty breaks on pads. They do alert to passersby if they can see out a window and are often adorably confused when people come downstairs—it's part of their charm! They would thrive in a calm, loving home, though some gentle activity and energy would be welcome too. Another dog isn't necessary, but they’ve done well with other pups, especially females. Mr. Jingles can be a bit dominant, but he’s been living peacefully with a small male dog in foster care. Lady’s a 7yo 10lb Maltese mix. She’s dog selective, cat and kid 13+ friendly. She’s housebroken if kept on a schedule but will wear a diaper and use pee pads and crate trained. She’s good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going for harness leashed walks. She’s agile, smart, likes squeaky toys, people and going for walks but will bark at people, dogs and noises. She is easy startled so best to sleep in a dog bed on the floor so not to accidentally wake her while sleeping. Lady’s foster requires a calm home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, be an only dog, brushed/groomed often to prevent matting along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Lady as all dogs should have 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Lady takes medication for a seizure disorder and for her eyes.
