Zee, a working girl that was recently retired, is a precious little female Maltese that LOVES to snuggle. Her date of birth is 5/15/19. She was obese when rescued and needed to lose a couple of pounds before her spay so that it would be less traumatic for her. She is now spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. On 7/1/24 she weighed 10.4 pounds which is a healthy weight for her. Zee is being fostered in Arkansas. Her adoption donation is $1000 plus an additional $165 transport fee. She can walk on a leash but much prefers to be carried, like the little diva that she is. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer will contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Meet AJ! This almost 9 year old Maltese was recently surrendered through absolutely no fault of his own and is a bit confused but sweet, fine with other dogs, and a little over 10lbs. His owner didn’t believe in vaccines so hadn’t brought him to a vet since 2017. He has some pretty awful painful ear infections that have been going on untreated for a while and we are working on getting him feeling better soon. Otherwise he seems to be in pretty good health overall and only really middle aged for a little guy, and we hope he will have another good 9 years in his new home. Biggs is looking for his furever home! Biggs is an absolutely adorable ~1 year old maltese mix. He is a spunky guy and gets along great with his foster sister an 8 month old puppy. He is very playful, and loves attention, but can be mischievous. He is very curious and will investigate everything. He would love a playmate that can handle his high energy. He loves to cuddle with you. He is ok with being alone with his sibling(s) for a couple hours. He doesn't do well being completely alone. He would do best with a family that had someone home most of the time. He prefers to sleep in the room with you or with the other dog(s) in the home. He will follow you everywhere you go. Don't let his size fool you, he is a good climber and jumper. He is pee pad trained. He does bark some. His foster family is working on some basic obedience commands, so far he knows down and come. He will listen to no and stop sometimes so still working on that and sit. He does do some playful biting. He is not cat or kid tested. He is up to date on his vaccines and is neutered. This little girl is Lelo! She is 15 weeks old and about 10 lbs. She is a Maltese mix who will most likely be about 20-25 lbs as an adult. She has soft silky fur and an energetic personality. She is UTD on vaccines and crate trained in her foster home. She gets along well with everyone she has met and would do great with another friendly small dog.
