Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Snowball is a beauty who is looking for a new home. Snowball is now in a NJ foster home. Snowball and several other yorkie and Maltese were dumped at a shelter when their breeder shut down. Our partner rescue in Louisiana stepped in to help save these pups! We think Snowball is either a M altese or M altese/yorkie mix. They are all a bit shy, but they are learning how to live in foster homes. Snowball is a sweetie, but can be shy at first. She is learning! They all LOVE other dogs and would do best in homes with other dogs. We aren't too sure on cats or kids yet for most of these dogs.  Snowball is now fixed, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. The vet identified she has a luxating patella on her rear leg which is common in small dogs. It was their assessment it did not require surgery. Her adoption fee is $450.   Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to wagoninn.rescuegroups.org. Click on the orange  Online Adoption Application  button to fill out an application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon! She is learning! She is good with other dogs and would do best in homes with other dogs because she follows their lead. We aren't too sure on cats yet for most of these dogs.  Snow met children in her NJ foster home and was accepting of pets.  However, she didn't seem to love it, and didn't seek attention from them.  This may change as she settles in more. Story
Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, December 14th, 2024 at Immanual Union Church (693 Jewett Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314) from 11am-3pm. Meet Jovie! Jovie is a 6 year old Maltese who is looking for her perfect home. She is just under 10 pounds making her a perfect side kick for travel or running errands! Jovie's super powers are her kindness and her desire to curl up and cuddle you. She is a quiet girl who has yet to bark, and is slowly coming out of her shell to gain confidence. She can be quite nervous and shaky in a new environment, but she always remains sweet and even tempered. She will need a patient human who helps to give her the reassurance she needs. Jovie appears to be house trained and has not had a single accident in her foster home! She goes outside and doesn't like to waste time. Jovie doesn't love a leash, it seems mostly due to the collar. I think she would benefit from being walked in a harness. Jovie's favorite thing is snoozing. Anytime, anywhere, she is ready for a little siesta. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle dog in a small package who will be excited to cuddle you, Jovie is for you! Jovie is currently being fostered in Manhattan, NY. Her adoption fee is $600. Jovie is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Bunny, our sweet and affectionate girl who’s ready to hop into your heart and home. Found on the street where no one came to claim her, Bunny has shown herself to be the perfect companion. She is our perfect girl, full with love and affection. Bunny would thrive in a home where she has plenty of company as she doesn’t seem to enjoy being left alone for long periods of time. She’s looking for someone who can offer her the constant love and attention she craves and be the only pet in the household so she can enjoy her full attention. If you’re someone who spends a lot of time at home and is ready to welcome a loyal and loving friend into your life, Bunny will be thrilled to stay by your side.
