This tiny little duo are sisters who were surrendered together as their parents could no longer care for them. They are estimated to be about 10 years old, they are completely bonded and must remain together for the rest of their lives. Don't let their age fool you, these 2 are active, and sometimes vocal. They're affectionate, and quite comical together. The girls are spayed, we had their core vaccines updated, all they need now is a forever home. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Little Man (aka Snowman) is a handsome boy who is looking for a furever home. Little Man is now in a NJ foster home. Little Man is a sweet, loving boy who loves to be held and loved on. He is truly a lap dog! He is friendly with everyone including other dogs. He is calm and well behaved, happiest snuggling with his favorite people - foster mom and dad. Little Man is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He recently had a dental cleaning too. Little Man has a grade three heart murmur so he is on Vetmedin (an oral medication) to help his heart function more efficiently. Little Man tested positive for heartworm. Due to the murmur, he is being treated via slow-kill heartworm treatment which includes oral antibiotics every 6 months and heartworm prevention over a period of 1-3 years until the heartworms are no longer present. His adoption fee is $300. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! Joy was born 11/5/24. She is the happiest girl ever! She loves everyone including children. We are working on house training. She is NOT housetrained yet. She was surrendered to rescue by a breeder who decided to retire. Adoption fee is 950.00. Located in the South. 6 lbs current weight. Thank you for choosing rescue! My name is GRUMPY and I’m a 5y M Tan Shih Tzu X. I’m 15 lbs of PURE SWEET GROUCHINESS. I was brought to a police precinct in the Bronx, NY and luckily the rescue was able to save me before I was taken to the shelter. I was affectionately named Grumpy because I was not immediately warm and fuzzy with the foster mom and growled at her a lot… but once I got to know her and she went slow with me to introduce me to her household… I trusted her and she can do anything to me now. I’m a little guarded with strangers and rightly so because I was pretty much neglected by my previous family. I’m housebroken and walk well on the leash and I can be picked up and handled as long as you slow. I’m a nice guy but nervous at first so I need someone who is going to be patient and believe in me and give me the TLC I need. I’m good with small dogs but am afraid of big dogs and will snap/snark at them. I’ve not met any cats so not sure about them and best if I don’t go with any young kids. I prefer to be the ONLY DOG so I can get all the attention that I never got in my previous home. My only other vice is that it’s not easy to groom me.. I’m nervous around objects coming to my face so I need to go to an experienced groomer but I was fine being handled by the vet. I need a QUIET ADULT ONLY home with someone or a couple that are home a lot and have had previous experience with a “grumpy” dog and are willing to give me the TLC and believe in me to make me the SWEET AND LOVING dog I know I can be!!
