Hello I am Brodie and I was born approximately 3/12/2019, I also weigh around 12 lbs, I am a Maltese. I came from a shelter, and I am very protective of my toys, because I never had any before this so I don't love to share. I'm house trained, my foster mom takes me outside every 4 hrs. I have a kennel but would rather sleep on the bed with my foster mom all night. I don't care for dogs bigger than me because they are scary and I also don't really love cats - I growl and bark at them. I will sit and watch you when you are eating, hoping that I will get a snack. I like to curl up on the floor next to my foster mom. Will let you know when someone knocks at the door or walks by, by barking a bit. I'm leash trained. Almond is the perfect little guy! Better known in our house as Sully, he is the fluffiest, bounciest, silliest boy. Born 1/6/24 he is all puppy, ready to play with all the friends, happy to meet everyone, then likes to crash and take a long nap. He has two foster dog brothers and two foster teenage brothers he absolutely loves, plays with, chases and wrestles with all day. He would probably love dog friends in his forever home, or a household where he gets a-lot of attention. He loves toys, stuffed animals, tug of war, and going on walks. He is already learning very well how to follow in a general direction on a leash. He is great at mimicking and doing what his foster brothers tell him to do. He follows cues well for such a little guy; weighing in at 5 pounds, Sully will definitely do best in a household with other smaller dogs or bigger dogs and people who know how to be gentle. Sully has taken plenty of car rides and does very well. He rides in his kennel and may whimper at first, but quiets down quickly. At night, he sleeps in his own kennel next to his foster brothers. He doesn't whimper much anymore, if he does it doesn't last more than a minute or so and he sleeps a solid nine hours through the night. Sully loves baths and will let you massage him if he is relaxed and calm enough. Sully is an amazing little guy. Sully has gained a lot of confidence and will no doubt continue with the right family. He has already shown us how smart a little guy he is! He is learning commands and knows his name. He is getting potty training down well, will give cues when he needs to go outside and will use potty pads when he's confined inside. He will be a great best dog friend for any family, and has already shown how loyal and loving he is! In addition, he is the fluffiest boy! Sully is one amazing pooch and we hope you'll love him as much as we do! Well, I’m here to tell you it’s not factual. You see, I only do so when I’m alarmed or if I’m crated for an extended period of time.  I’m a shy lady but also a very happy one. I’ll wag my tail and lick your hand to let you know how excited I am to see you. I entertain myself with small toys that make noise and treats. I do need a fenced yard because I have zero experience using a leash. Maybe once I settle in, we can work on this together but for now, please have a fenced in yard for me. This will also help with my potty training. While I will use potty pads, we are working on a routine for going potty outside.  There are other dogs here and would benefit from having other dogs in my forever home. Another confident dog will help me learn to trust people and get on a routine.
