Story
We are the trio of Anne, Elizabeth and Henry....the 'Royalty' litter. We came from a puppy mill as we were no longer needed for breeding. We girls need a bit of work on leash walking, but Henry is a rockstar. We have not perfected the potty training yet, but are getting better! We would prefer a fenced in yard and another play buddy to help us feel secure and confident! We all did get groomed a bit ago!

Story
Buffy is about 8 months old, 11-12 pounds a Yorkie Maltese mix. We bought her from a breeder. We have had her since she was 12 weeks old. She is very active, needs a fenced yard. She takes a while to warm up; then she is always with you. She is house-trained here, but may need training when she goes to another home-hopefully non-smokers. We have cats, and she chases them--never hurts them, but they are not fond of being chased. She is spayed and has all her shots. She has not been around other dogs or children. She loves playing with her toys and chewing on her horn bone. Her tail is always wagging! She loves the snow and running in the yard. We've had her on a leash a few times. I think she would do well in a home where someone can be with her most of the time: we're retired. She is crate trained at night and when we leave the house.

Story
“I’m dreaming of a…forever family…”   Let me introduce myself. I’m Ivy Joy & my wish for the New Year is to find a forever family with humans who will love me & I’d also love a canine friend or two that I can play & run around with. That’s all. I’m a real lover. My favorite spot is on the arm rest right next to you on the couch or chair, or maybe right on top of you! I love to cuddle. I’m only 10# after all. I’m sure you’ll have room on your bed for me, right? I’m pretty much house trained, but in the beginning, I may use a piddle pad. I can jump on the couch just fine, but may need little steps to get up on your bed. I’m gaining confidence every day. Are you a committed adopter who wants a sweet, cute little girl to add to your family? If so, apply for me, Ivy Joy!   You can apply for this pup at: https://www.fetchfosterandrescue.com/adopt   Name: Ivy Joy   D.O.B: 4/4/19   Breed: Maltese/Poodle mix   Sex: Female   Weight: 10 lbs   Altered: Yes   Adoption Fee: 400   Good with kids: yes   Good with dogs: yes, I really want a dog around my size to play with.   Good with cats: no thanks!   Special Requirements: another dog (small/medium) to play with, fenced in yard preferred (I am fast & may bolt out your door.)   *Positive reinforcement obedience training is a great way to bond with your new family member. It can also help set up a relationship with greater odds of success integrating your new pet into your family. Anyone who provides proof of completed positive reinforcement training will receive a 100 dollar refund from Fetch Foster and Rescue Inc! If you have questions or are wondering if the class you want to take qualifies please reach out! ♥   Fetch Foster and Rescue Inc is a 501c3 non-profit organization ##2614492##

Story
History: Tristan is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Tristan is an adorable little ham!!! He loves being in a home and love attention & snuggles. He is great playing with our resident dogs and follows them all over! He is getting the hang of going potty outside and has had minimal accidents. He's great with kids - unsure about cats. He will go in his kennel if he gets a treat - however, he does not love being left in his kennel and will vocally let you know!

Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs! To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info!   ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!***   Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on January 9th and arrive on January 10th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!!   Updated: 12/13/2025 Dog Name: Benji Sex: Male Estimated Breed: Maltese Mix Approximate Age: 1 year Approximate Weight: 7-10 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Neutered Description: Benji  was surrender to the shelter after the family who found him could no longer keep him. Benji was nervous at first but has warmed up well and is making friends with the shelter volunteers! Benji is precious and has unique markings. He will need a family who lets him decompress and shows him love and patience. He is young and spunky when he opens up, we know he will steal a lot of hearts!!   Adoption Fee: $450We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. December 17, 2025, 7:39 pm

Good with dogs,
Story
About Me: Name: Valerie Breed (or best guess): Maltese Approximate Age: 2 yr Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 7 lb Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Patient Adopter, another small dog, secure potty area/fence Why In Rescue: puppy mill survivor Profile:   Valerie came from a commercial breeder/puppy farmer who was no longer going to use her for breeding.  She is a bit of a nervous girl but has learned to accept being picked up, she just isn't sure about being petted yet.  She will dance around on her hind legs for her food.  She gets along with her doggy friends at the shelter as long as you watch them while they eat because she will try to steal the other dog's food.  She is on her way to learning how to be a loved pet, just needs more time to take those baby steps forward. Dogs from commercial breeders are generally undersocialized (often very scared/shy/skittish) and probably never lived in a house.  They will need to learn things like how to walk on a leash, go up stairs, and what things like a television are.  They need a patient adopter who will give them the time they need to adjust and to learn to trust people.  Every baby step forward needs to be celebrated, and the dog needs to be accepted for who they are at each step.  Some dogs can adjust quickly and learn how to be a loved pet pretty easily.  Others can take a long time to even be comfortable with things like walking through the house and being in the same room as a person.  No matter how far and how fast the breeder dogs progress, they are wonderful dogs and deserve a great home after their life on the puppy farm.  A fence or at least a secure fenced in potty area is highly recommended for the dog's safety, and may be required for some dogs.  Another small dog in the house can also help many former breeders adjust faster to life in a home, and also may be required in some cases.  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If considering adopting a former breeding dog, the following article is good to read to help you understand the special needs these dogs may have.  http://nowisconsinpuppymills.com/mill-survivors.html If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS December 11, 2025, 7:35 pm
