Meet BennyBenny arrived in Wisconsin on August 15th with Mutt Life Dog Rescue after making his way upfrom a high-intake shelter in Georgia. He was originally found as a stray in rural Georgia and,unfortunately, arrived at the shelter covered in painful mats and completely filthy. After somemuch-needed TLC, a good bath, and plenty of care, Benny is feeling so much better and settlinginto his foster home in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.Benny is believed to be a Maltipoo mix and is an easygoing, happy little guy who is an absolutejoy to have around. He is doing excellent in his foster home and has quickly shown everyonewhat a sweet and adaptable dog he is.Benny currently lives with kids, cats, dogs, and chickens and has done wonderfully witheveryone. His favorite person right now is his foster family's 2-year-old, who he has completelybonded with. Benny is gentle, affectionate, and loves being around his people. He has the kindof personality that makes him seem like he has always been part of the family.Benny is potty trained, crate trained, although he doesn't really need to be crated, and walkswell on a leash. He is an easygoing guy who doesn't ask for much other than being near hispeople and getting to enjoy the good life he is finally experiencing.When Benny first arrived, he had several small sores on his back from where the matting hadbeen particularly severe. They are healing nicely now that he is clean, comfortable, andreceiving the care he needed. His foster family is continuing to keep an eye on them as theyheal.Benny would be a great fit for just about any home. He would do well with a family, couple, orsingle person looking for a sweet, low-key companion.
