This is Dale a red poodle who is available thru Tiny Paws Small Dog Rescue.  He was born Nov 25, 2024 and weights 7lbs.  He is quite a playful boy who loves to play with his foster dogs and cats, he likes run around in the fenced in yard. Dale is being fostered in McHenry Il, with his foster Carol.   Dale does have an adoption fee of $600 which includes neuter and up to date shots, he is also micro chipped. Dogs from commercial breeders are generally undersocialized (often very scared/shy/skittish) and probably never lived in a house.  They will need to learn things like how to walk on a leash, go up stairs, and what things like a television are.  They need a patient adopter who will give them the time they need to adjust and to learn to trust people.  Every baby step forward needs to be celebrated, and the dog needs to be accepted for who they are at each step.  Some dogs can adjust quickly and learn how to be a loved pet pretty easily.  Others can take a long time to even be comfortable with things like walking through the house and being in the same room as a person.  No matter how far and how fast the breeder dogs progress, they are wonderful dogs and deserve a great home after their life on the puppy farm.  A fence or at least a secure fenced in potty area is highly recommended for the dog's safety, and may be required for some dogs.  Another small dog in the house can also help many former breeders adjust faster to life in a home, and also may be required in some cases.  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. Cisco was a puppy mill breeder dog whose entire life was about making money for the greedy breeders. No longer of value to them, he is now in a loving foster home with AEAR. Cisco wasn't used to human kindness and he certainly never learned what it is like to be part of a family. That all changed when he came to AEAR. He is starting to make progress and seeking out human companionship. He recently went looking for his foster family when they went into a different room. He is also starting to explore the house. Cisco is an adorable dog. We believe he can be a wonderful companion to the right adopters. Patience and understanding will be key to a successful adoption. We can only imagine what this little guy as been through. Sam has a heart full of love and a gentle, sweet soul. Though he’s blind and hard of hearing, Sam navigates the world with the help of a kind human and a whole lot of affection. He’s a little needy—but in the best possible way. Sam thrives on closeness, cozy spaces, and warm laps. He finds comfort in familiar voices, soft pets, and the occasional tasty treat (especially if it’s people food!). Sam’s favorite things include being near his person, gentle attention, and lounging in a safe, comfy spot. He doesn’t love being alone, so he’d be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time. A quiet house with a fenced yard would be ideal, giving him space to do his business and explore safely at his own pace. He’s wonderful with other dogs and would be a calm and loving companion to another mellow pup. Sam may need a little extra help at first, but he gives back tenfold with loyalty, warmth, and snuggles.
