06/21/26 12:05Looking for a sweet boy to call your own? Meet Red!Red is a shy 1 year old that has been at the shelter since May. This gentle dog is known to startle easily and can be wary of new people and objects, but he warms up when given the chance. He is treat motivated and allows full handling. He loves to go on walks and has shown no reactivity towards other dogs at this time. Red is a bit undersocialized and could use some leash training because he has been noted once to be a bit of a tripping hazard. But with more consistent walks with his forever family, Red will be a walking pro.Come in today to meet Red. He is waiting patiently for someone who will take him home.

Story
Gus is a 4.5 year old mastiff/rotweiler mix. He a wonderful companion animal and has given our family loyalty, cuddles, and goofiness. He is a low-energy dog who loves to snooze, but also enjoys moderate walks and hikes. Gus needs a new home because he can aggressively resource guard random objects (e.g. a child's toy or a kleenex). We cannot keep him in our house with three very small children who may be inclined to follow him if he takes a forbidden toy. Gus would be great in an adult-only home or a family with older children who can understand and manage this behavior. Gus is great with kids, adults, and other dogs. He is trained on the basics and walks well on a leash. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. It is with an extremely heavy heart that we have to find a new home for this loving dog. But he will be a fantastic addition to any home without small children who wants a loving companion and can manage his occasional resource guarding.

Story
Dozer is a neutered male, black/white Mastiff Hi! I'm Dozer! I am deaf! I really don't know how to play. It’s kind of sad. I have a little routine here - I just go in my pen, eat a few bites, drink then run back out for a treat. I like being near my people & will follow you around. I am not interested in playing ball. I really just don't know what to do with myself other than just enjoy life. I am so sweet, according to my foster. So if you don't mind a good-sized velcro dog, I'm your guy! ##2498995##

Story
Romeo is very sweet 6 year old boy but the vets think he may be younger. He would love to be a family dog and definitely wants to find his forever home, but can be protective of his people and his space. That being said once he knows you are part of the family he listens very well and knows many commands, sit, stay, down, shake, wait. He is slow to warm up to new people but once he has been introduced to you he is a gentle giant and big couch potato that loves to cuddle. He also really enjoys going for a ride in the car. It is not recommended to have young kids due to his size. He is good on the leash and knows many commands but needs someone that is not afraid of his size and can properly handle him. Experienced adopter with larger breeds is a must. No other dogs or animals in the household and not a good candidate for crates.

Story
Monte is a delightful, energetic, and loving neutered pit bull mix, weighing about 89 pounds. At around 3 years old, he’s full of life and ready to find his forever home. After undergoing TPLO surgery on his right hind leg, Monte has been cleared for adoption and is feeling back to 100%. Although he has a partially torn cruciate on his left hind leg, his vet advises against surgery unless he shows signs of pain. Monte enjoys running zoomies in the yard and relaxing with a good chew bone. He gets along well with other dogs his size but plays rough, so future housemates should be at least 40 pounds. He knows basic commands like sit, stay, lay down, go to your crate, and waits for his food until released. His favorite treat is French fries! Monte is crate-trained and will let out a yip when he needs to go outside. He’s excited on a leash but calms down after a while, though he still pulls. His foster parents taught him not to jump and his new family will need to continue to reinforce the behavior, so a home without children under 10 is recommended. While Monte has been fine with cats from a distance, he seems too interested, and my cats are scared of him. Therefore, a cat-free home is best. Monte loves cuddles and thinks he’s a small lap dog, despite his size. Monte is fantastic with new people outside the house and is always a hit at the vet. At home, he’s cautious initially but relaxes once introduced by me or my husband. I believe he’ll do the same with his new owners and home. Monte is eager to find a loving family to share his life with!
