Story
Looking for a furry friend who's full of personality and endless love? Meet Mozart, the ultimate cuddle bug! He's a bundle of joy waiting to brighten up your life. This adorable pup has a big heart and an even bigger belief in himself - he's convinced he's a lap dog, and who are we to argue? Mozart loves nothing more than snuggling up next to you in bed, and his loud snores are just an added bonus! When Mozart needs attention or wants something, he's not shy about letting you know. He'll gently nudge your arm with his mouth, never hurting, just trying to get your attention. But don't worry, once he has what he wants, he's as happy as can be. Scratch between Mozart's ears, and you'll have a friend for life - it's practically guaranteed to put him right to sleep. And when he's excited? Get ready for the head spins and smirks that show off his adorable single tooth! Mozart is a lover of the great outdoors and enjoys soaking up the sun whenever he can. He's also a fan of car rides, especially when he can stick his head out the window and watch the world go by. While Mozart may only know the command "sit" for now, he's eager to learn and just needs a bit of attention to his manners. He's strong as an ox, but his heart is even bigger. He's generally good with other dogs, but like any pup, he appreciates his space. This charming pup is house and kennel trained, and he adores kids. He loves his toys and playing fetch, and bath time is a breeze - although he's not exactly thrilled about it! So, if you're ready to welcome a loyal companion into your life, look no further than Mozart. Come meet him today and discover the love and laughter he'll bring to your home! ##1997483##

Story
Meet Zander, a gentle giant with a heart as big as his paws! This one-year-old Mastiff mix is a sweetheart, though he may take a moment to warm up to new faces. Zander`s sensitive nature adds to his charm, making him an attentive companion who thrives on gentle affection and patience. He is best suited for older, respectful children. He`s met a couple dogs at the shelter and seemed more interested in being friends and playing with female dogs. With his soulful eyes and loyal demeanor, Zander is eagerly waiting to find his forever home where he can blossom into the loving companion he`s destined to be.What I Need In a Home:* Older children recommended

Shelter Visiting Hours are 12 pm to 4 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event:https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##735151##

Story
Oh my, my, Murphy! Just look at this perfect, giant, boy! Murphy is approximately 3.5-4 months old and he’s already over 40 lbs. He’s smart as whip (knows multiple commands already), plays very well with other dogs yet doesn’t incessantly bug them, does well in the car, good on leash, and the list goes on! Murph sleeps with his foster mom and he’s quiet all night – minus some snoring, of course. He’s doing quite well with his house training but firmly believes crates are for peasants and he will not tolerate being put in one. 😳. Good thing he’s the goodest boy! Murphy is in foster in Parker, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/murphy-2 You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Hi there!  Mortimer here, checking in after arriving in Colorado! Im between 1 and 2 years old (no one ever told me my real birthday so the nice doctor at the vet's office took a guess) and the rescue people asked me to tell you a little bit about myself. I love tug of war!  I figured i would start with that since its really important that my new home like to play that with me.  I also like to play with other dogs, but can get a little scared if they are super loud and in my face at first.  I am "crate-trained" whatever that means, and enjoy these things called "leash walks" where i get to go out and smell and see new things.  My foster parents say that i have decent leash "manners". I've seen a cat a few times, and wasn't overly interested in it, but i have never lived with one, so I don't know how i would feel about that. I ended up in Colorado after someone dumped me in a very rural part of new Mexico.  A nice lady there found me and gave me food and water and shelter which was very nice, but she couldn't keep me so she found some nice people in Colorado to help me find a new forever home!  If i sound like the kind of dog you would like to hang out with fill out the application below and be sure to mention my name! If you are interested in fostering or adopting Mortimer, please fill out an adoption application at gotdrool.org

Story
Dixie and Latigo come to us after their human dad passed and Dixie started escaping the yard on a regular basis. Their human mom recognized that she could not keep them safe and asked us to help. We of course said YES! Things they will need in their new home – a yard with a 6 foot fence. Normally we don’t require fences, but for these two a 6 foot fence is an absolute MUST. They will still try to get over it, but won’t be able to. They are still learning the finer points of being inside dogs, but are doing really well so far! Dixie is definitely the leader with these two – she’s first to try new things and Latigo will follow her. They are also learning about leash manners – and so far are doing really well!
