Tazz was one of three puppies that showed up in our yard during the winter storm. We found homes for her other siblings and were going to keep her, but we really don’t have the time she deserves. She is shy at first, but very sweet and playful. She does great around children and other dogs. She is not crate trained but does stay in the house with us. Tazz knows the sit, down, and paw as commands. Best guess she is around 6/7 months, not spayed.

Meet Alfie, a big, lovable boy whose name really ought to be Hoover, given how expertly he vacuums up treats and checks volunteer aprons for more-hey, a big boy needs proper nourishment, right? In exchange, Alfie offers plenty of affection and love. He has a medium energy level, which can translate into pulling a bit on leash and barking at other dogs while walking through the shelter environment. In playgroups, Alfie was paired with a super confident, over-the-top female dog. While he didn't do anything wrong, he never fully settled into true play, instead chasing her and burning off some energy. At times, he was a little hard to read. Alfie is a sweet, food-motivated boy who will benefit from guidance and structure in a home setting.He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have cats or another dog, we recommend slow introductions over time. Jalapeña Pupper is a sweet, gentle dog who is much more comfortable with people than with other dogs. During her first playgroup, she seemed nervous and defensive around her playmates, so she may do best as the only pet in the home.With humans, she is very loving. Volunteers say she is calm, kind, and enjoys being around people. She likes going for walks where she can take her time sniffing everything, and she's easy to walk on leash. After a walk, she's happy to relax and enjoy some cuddle time. She also takes treats gently.Couldn't ask for a better companion whether you need a car buddy, walking buddy or cuddle bug with hugs. You get everything with the wonderful Jalapena Pupper! If you dare stop petting her she will try so hard to get your attention with the puppy eyes, gently paw, lick, sit on your lap, lean against you or all at once. She loved her recent outing at the park, so much to sniff even gets mini zoomies while her ears bounce in pure happiness. On walks she doesn't pull much and will want to try to meet everyone you walk by and will calmly watch dogs from afar. She quickly gets comfortable in the car laying on the backseat even naps after a big walk.
