She`s been around cats and is also fostered with another dog. She`s been with kids under the age of 5yrs old and has been good with them. She`d do best with a dog older than her. She is still young and a puppy so plenty of toys is best. She`s unsure of the leash still, she is crate trained and potty trained. She likes to chase any rodents shes caught several bunnies. MEET GUS — AKA “FUSSY GUSSY” 115 POUNDS OF LOVE, DROOL & VERY STRONG OPINIONS. If you've ever wanted an English Mastiff with high expectations, strong opinions, and absolutely no doubt that he is always right, allow us to introduce you to Gus. Gus is an English Mastiff estimated by his vets to be somewhere between 3–5 years old, weighing in at a very respectable 115 pounds. And Gus has thoughts. Lots of them. He has expectations. He has opinions. He has preferences. And he would like everyone to know that his way is the correct way. He didn't earn the nickname Fussy Gussy for nothing! We have tried to explain to Gus that he isn't quite ready for adoption yet due to still needing medical care. Gus has respectfully disagreed. In fact, Gus has decided that the world needs to prepare for his forever home immediately. Why wait when there are people out there who haven't met him yet?! Fortunately, Gus has plenty of wonderful qualities to go along with his larger-than-life personality. He's house trained, walks well on a leash, dog friendly, and absolutely LOVES cuddles. Gus does NOT believe he should have to be kenneled. And he will make his feelings on that subject known very quickly. He's basically 115 pounds of giant Mastiff who wants to be loved, admired, and treated according to his very specific standards. Meet Hoss, a handsome Mastiff mix puppy with a heart as big as the paws he's still growing into! At just four months old and 27 pounds when he entered rescue, Hoss is already showing us he's going to be a big boy with an even bigger personality! With his soulful eyes, adorable floppy ears, and the cutest little white stripe across his nose, this sweet boy is impossible not to fall in love with. Hoss hasn't had the easiest start in life. He spent his early puppy days in an underfunded rural Arkansas shelter, surrounded by outdoor kennels instead of the comforts every puppy deserves. Thankfully, his story is changing, and he's finally getting the second chance he's been waiting for. Now settling into his foster home, Hoss is proving to be the sweetest little guy! He's definitely all puppy, full of playful energy, curiosity, and plenty of puppy antics. He absolutely loves playtime and gets along wonderfully with his foster sisters. He's already learning the ropes of family life and discovering just how much fun being a loved dog can be. For a puppy who has only been in his foster home a short time, Hoss is making great progress! He does well in his crate during the day, and while potty training is still a work in progress, he's catching on nicely. With a little patience, consistency, and lots of love, this smart boy will continue to blossom. Hoss has so much growing, learning, and loving ahead of him. He's looking for a family ready to embrace all the fun, adventures, and occasional puppy mischief that come with raising a big, lovable pup. Hoss will receive his final round of puppy vaccinations on November 6 and is expected to be ready for adoption in early November. First, there were the Heavens. Next, there was the Earth. Then... there was ME! I'm Atlas! I'm a 174-pound, almost 2 year old, English Mastiff boy of mythological proportions. As a gentle giant of Olympian stature, I'm strong enough to carry the whole world on my shoulders for eternity - though I'd be happy to just carry your heart in mine, for the rest of my life instead! As the ancient prophecies say - I'm not only loyal, but I'm as bright as the heavens above! I am flawlessly crate-trained and potty-trained, I already know "sit", "shake", and "down", and have excellent house manners! I enjoy a leisurely odyssey through the neighborhood as well, with mostly-lovely leash manners - unless I spot a potential new friend (or a squirrel). Then my happy prance can be a little Herculean! I am learning quickly not to pull, but of course the fates test even the strongest of us divines ;-). I'm terrific with sturdy children who can't easily be knocked off their axis with my dinosaur tail, and I am great with other polite dogs once I meet them! Big or small (as long as I can't accidentally step on them), I prefer to share my corner of the cosmos with other canines who have manners as godly as mine. Tell the ornery ones to save the thunderbolts for Hades - I come in peace! My fur-ever Mount Olympus should be a house-setting with a big, secure yard, and a family who has lots of time to share equal parts vast adventures and quiet calm moments together. Be they in the glow of a campfire, the sunset over the lake, or our favorite movies in bed. I am easy-going as a silent stream on the tallest mountain, an excellent hiking partner and camping companion, and of course - I promise to keep you laughing as much as I keep your toes warm, and most of all, to make your life whole. I don't need the universe on my shoulders, the world at my feet, or the moon and the stars. Just a safe spot in your heart... and about 2/3rd's of your couch! Apply to adopt me, today!
