Story
Finley is a 6 year old female English Mastiff that weighs 150lbs. She is a gentle giant. She has been raised indoors with a small dog that bosses her around. She is good with other dogs, but has never been around cats. She has been raised with my three boys who are all big. She has only been around a couple of small children and will typically hide in her room until they are gone. She is pretty lazy and likes to lay around and cuddle all day. She will get the zoomies for about 10 minutes and then she needs a nap. She does have bladder leakage and takes medication. As long as the medication is given then there is no leakage. She also has sebaceous cysts that grow on her but are not problematic.

Story
This handsome boy is Moose! Moose is an approximately 6-year-old male Mastiff/Pit Bull mix who weighs in at 100 lbs. of lovable mutt! Moose was adopted as a puppy and recently returned to the rescue when his adopters moved to a rental that did not allow Moose to come with them. Moose has taken a while to come around, but we really can't blame him, considering he lost his family of 6 years, the only family he knew. He is becoming more outgoing now and interacting with the employees at the boarding facility. He likes to get out with the other dogs, but he can be selective in his playmates, so he must meet all dogs in a prospective home before adoption. He could also be an only dog if given plenty of attention and included in activities. Moose needs a securely fence back yard to get out in and explore. Moose was excellent with the children in his former home. Moose is an awesome dog with a lot of life left to live! Just because it didn't work out the first time, Moose is sure his real "forever" family is out there, and he wants to meet them! If you are looking for a laid-back boy with lots of love to give, Moose is your man! Moose is crate, leash, and house-trained. He is neutered, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $225. To adopt Moose, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply. Moose qualifies to be a foster-to-adopt or just a foster. If you would like to do that, apply at www.foreveryoursokc.org/foster-application.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.    PLEASE NOTE: GPMR communicates primarily by email.  If you have any questions regarding one of our Mastiffs, please read their bio and if you still have questions - drop us an email at GPMastiffRescue@gmail.com.  If you have questions about our adoption procedures, please go to our page called 'Adoption Info.'  We answer email inquiries daily.    GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs.    GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and parts of Colorado.  !!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!!       ***This Mastiff is part of our 'Fall in Love' adoption event and her adoption fee is waived!Meet Bobbi – A Gentle Soul Looking for Her Forever Home Bobbi is a 3-year-old fawn English Mastiff, she is a 'Fluffy' where she has a longer coat. This is due to a recessive gene and it's not very common to see. She is gorgeous! She has a heart as big as her paws. This sweet girl is the definition of a gentle giant—soft, sensitive, and full of love, just waiting to be shared. Recently surrendered by her previous owners, Bobbi is adjusting to a new chapter in life. She’s a quiet, affectionate companion who prefers the comfort of a calm environment and the gentle presence of a kind human by her side.   Bobbi is especially drawn to women and feels most at ease in a home where she can build trust at her own pace. She’s timid at first—new people, places, and sounds can be overwhelming—but once she feels safe, her sweet personality begins to shine. She’ll nuzzle into your hand for pets, follow you from room to room, and rest her head on your lap. Because of her shy nature, Bobbi would thrive in a peaceful home with a patient adopter who understands that confidence takes time. She’s not the kind of dog who will leap into new experiences, but with gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement, she’s already making strides.  Bobbi is house-trained, well-behaved indoors, and gets along well with other calm, respectful dogs. She’s not overly playful but enjoys the quiet company of other dogs who give her space and help her feel secure. She is being fostered in a home with a cat and has been curious and friendly towards it. Due to her size and sensitivity, Bobbi would do best in a home without young children. Older, dog-savvy kids who understand how to respect her boundaries could be a good fit. A fenced yard and a predictable routine would help her continue to grow and feel secure. Bobbi is ready to find a forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and truly part of the family. Bobbi is being fostered in Ft. This sweet girl was found as a stray in rural AR. She arrived at her finders's house pregnant and had a litter of puppies. They were never able to locate an owner for her and she had no collar or microchip. Unfortunately she was not spayed by the finders and 6 months later had another litter of puppies. Thankfully they were able to bring Peaches to us once this litter was weaned and so no more puppies for her! (Those puppies went to a local rescue for placement). We can only guess how many litters she's had but we know it's at least 2. Peaches is dog friendly and good with kids. She is small for a Mastiff so possibly she is mixed with something else. Although if Mastiffs have puppies on their first cycle, it can definitely stunt their growth and then tend to be smaller in size. She's only about 65 lbs. Peaches was spayed recently and unfortunately when they tested her for heartworms, it came up positive. She has received injections to treat those and about ready to be adopted! Peaches has been an absolute joy in her foster home, and very well behaved. She has been on quite the journey, and this sweet girl is almost at the finish line of her heartworm treatment! Soon, she’ll be ready to pack up her street-smart charm and move right into the home of her forever family. Her foster family lovingly calls her their “scrappy charmer” – because not only did Peaches learn how to survive life on the streets, she’s mastered the art of wiggling her way right into your heart. Peaches is an all-ages sweetheart who has done wonderfully with kids from 5 to 15. She’s also a dog-friendly gal who loves canine company. Her favorite hobbies include cuddles, playtime, and making friends wherever she goes. Now, full honesty: Peaches is a squirrel enthusiast (okay, she’s obsessed) and has a high prey drive, so a cat-free home is definitely best for this adventurer. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate pup with a big personality and even bigger heart, Peaches might just be your perfect match. She’s ready to turn the page on her past and write her happily-ever-after with you!
