This beautiful girl was rescued by a small all-breed rescue in rural Texas, emaciated and late term pregnant. They reached out to GPMR and we brought her into rescue. 3 days later, she had her puppies. Maisy will be on medical hold until her puppies are weaned and we are able to get her spayed and other veterinary care completed. She is heartworm positive and will need to be treated. We know Maisy is cat friendly, she was reported dog friendly but since she has babies she's caring for, we've not had her around any other dogs. Piper ended up in a shelter near St. Louis MO when she was abandoned by her owners. She's estimated at 11 years old. The shelter described her as kind and people oriented. She is calm, soft and amazingly gentle. She passed all of the shelter's handling, food, toy, and sociability tests with A+ behavior. Piper can be dog selective. She prefers respectful, calm dogs or would love to be the only dog in the home. Cats are unknown this time. Piper is thankfully heartworm negative! She does have some elevated liver values on her labwork that we're getting rechecked. She also is showing signs of arthritis which is expected for a dog her age. We have started her on joint supplements to provide some extra support. Piper is being fostered in St. Charles, MOVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Save a Mastiff...Adopt, Foster, Volunteer!February 1, 2026, 2:25 pm

This handsome boy came into rescue when his owners were having a baby and felt like they weren't able to give him the time he deserved. We would agree with this, as it's clear Bruno didn't get out of his home much. He is a sweet dog only 14 months, but has not received much training and is very strong. His new owner will have to commit to bringing this boy through some obedience school, so he can learn to be the best dog he can be! Bruno was not socialized with dogs outside his home. He can be reactive to dogs who growl at him. If he is to live with other dogs, he will require very slow and gradual introductions for it to be a success. He needs canine companions who are dog friendly and well socialized with dogs so he has a positive rolemodel to show him the ropes. He also would do great as the only pet in the home. He has not been evaluated with cats. He would not be recommended for homes with small children due to his size and being unaware of his size. Bruno has a vet appointment and will have his hips xrayed. His legs turn outward some and so we want to have this evaluated. He doesn't seem to have problems with his back end so that's a good sign. We'll report back when we have more information!  Bruno is being fostered in Licking, MO Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Save a Mastiff...Adopt, Foster, Volunteer!January 28, 2026, 9:08 pm

This amazing girl was surrendered to local animal control from a neglect situation. Sadly she recently had puppies that were given away. She was only 75 lbs and should be double that weight. Thankfully the shelter reached out for rescue and we picked her up yesterday (you can see her being hugged by shelter staff in one of the photos). Despite the hard life she's clearly had, this girl has nothing but love to give. She loves people and has done great with the other dogs at her foster home. We're still working on house breaking as she never lived indoors before. She will use a potty pad and is being trained to use a doggy door. In typical velcro Mastiff style, she wants to be with her people always. She is somewhere between 4 - 6 years old. We don't have an exact age and it's difficult to estimate age on dogs in this horrible condition. At Mirabelle's first vet vist with us, she already gained 14 lbs in 2 weeks, speaking to the level of starvation she was suffering. She was treated for intestinal parasites. Thankfully she was heartworm negative but tested positive for a tick disease called Ehrlichia which is common to see in our rescues. She's got a long road ahead of her to get back to health! We will post updates with her progress. Mirabelle will be on medical hold until she's healthy enough for adoption.Mirabelle is being fostered in McAelester, OKVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Save a Mastiff...Adopt, Foster, Volunteer!January 28, 2026, 10:16 pm

Story
Bullmastiff needs to be adopted as soon as possible as I am moving and I cannot have this breed at my new residence. He his fully house trained and great with kids. He loves being outside and is a great protector of my home. I’m saddened to see him but I really have no choice in the matter at this point. Thank you in advance for your consideration and I look forward to my Hello getting a new home.
