Story
Meet Honey. This gentle senior girl was found wandering the streets, alone and in pain. Her joints ached, her hips were stiff, and her body told the story of being left outside for far too long. But her story is changing — thanks to the love and expertise of her foster mom, a vet tech who’s made it her mission to help Honey heal. And she is healing. Honey is now on a regimen that helps her thrive: daily Metacam, Cartrophen injections, and joint supplements. Like many seniors, she’ll need to stay on this care plan — but it’s a small price to pay for the comfort and love she so deeply deserves. What’s sweeter than Honey? Absolutely nothing. We all hope to grow old with dignity and peace. But imagine finally reaching your golden years, only to be discarded like you no longer mattered. That’s what happened to Honey. Did she do anything wrong? Never. She was simply born kind, gentle, and full of love — and that’s still exactly who she is. She sleeps next to her foster sister’s crib at night, quietly keeping watch. She wears silly hats and dish towel “blankets” because it makes the baby laugh. She’s even stolen the heart of her foster brother, who now lays beside her in quiet companionship. She brings peace and warmth to every room she enters. She’s perfect. Now it’s time for her forever. Honey deserves a family who will cherish her through her senior years. Someone who sees the beauty in her graying muzzle, who understands her past, and who is ready to give her the soft landing she never had. If your home — and your heart — has room for a little sweetness, Honey is ready. Apply today and let her golden years shine.

Story
Sociable, Affectionate, People-LoverMEET CHARLIE!Charlie’s story is one of resilience—she has had a very challenging life so far,, but she has never let that dim her gentle, friendly heart. Now, she’s ready for the one thing she’s waited so patiently for: a true forever home filled with love, comfort, and kindness. She’s ready to start her happiest chapter yet—could it be with you? ??ABOUT CHARLIE: - Mastiff/Boerboel mix, approximately 7 yr old, female, medium/high energy and large (80lb)- Charlie is incredibly affectionate, she’ll happily lean her giant self into you for snuggles and will melt for a good butt rub (her favourite)- She enjoys calm companionship, cozy naps, and simply being near those she trusts- Charlie responds well to gentle, consistent boundaries and routine- She is well-behaved and calm in the home; she can be dog reactive on a walk. Our Certified Dog Trainer is currently working with her on this and will continue to work with her forever family post-adoption- Charlie is spayed, house-trained, microchipped and has her core vaccinations CHARLIE’S IDEAL HOME:- Charlie’s ideal home is with an active person, comfortable with a large breed dog- She would do best in a peaceful home, with a regular routine, where she can finally relax, be herself, and know she’s safe for good.- Someone who is retired, works part-time, or works from home would be idealCharlie may do best in a home without small children (as she is a big girl who may knock a little one down inadvertently) - We are recommending her for a home with a fenced yard where she can enjoy her favourite things - tug-of-war and enrichment games that challenge this smarty-pants- Charlie has been doing great with socializing with other low-medium energy dogs in the shelter so she may do well with a doggy companion, this would be determined in a meet and greet`If you’re the kind of person who believes that every pup deserves a soft landing, Charlie might just be your girl. Story
Hello! My name is Kai!I`m a super senior with lots of love to give. I am looking for a calm retirement home where I can lounge in the sun and go for sniffing walks. I am a gentle girl with a sensitive soul. I can be a bit nervous at first but warm up pretty quickly. I love my humans and may whine when I can`t be near them. I would love to join a home where I can be with my human(s) more often than not, as I love to snuggle.MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES…CHILDREN: No, given my age and sensitive nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet environment.OTHER DOGS: Yes, with a calm and lower energy dog.CATS: Yes, with a cat confident and experienced with dogs.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: Someone with some dog experience, and realistic expectations around the financial commitment of vet visits given my senior age, would be great!FENCED-IN YARD: Not necessarily.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: I would do best in a home without too many required stairs to travel on a daily basis.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME…ACTIVITY LEVEL: Low.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the “Adopt Me” button to apply!
