Story
My neighbor inherited his mother’s dogs after she passed away. They are a bonded pair. Unfortunately the landlord won’t let them stay for much longer. We’ve tried most avenues and are doing our best to keep them out of the shelter. Both dogs are house trained, walk on leashes well, have never bit anyone (including vets), and love tuff chew toys or tug of war! They are the best super sweet and loving, a little over weight as they lived with a 80 year old woman who fed them with love and couldn’t really walk far. Rosie: 11y/o Mastiff mix Dingo: 6 y/o Blue Heeler Both dogs love being outside and are fairly quiet. Dingo will bark to alert for people at the door but it’s very minimal. They are great with kids and live with cats!

Story
Silvio is the best boy. He is so loving, loves cuddles... and any kind of attention. He thinks hes small - still has puppy energy. He turned 3 in January 2026. I have no complaints with him whatsoever... rehoming him breaks our hearts, but he deserves better. He needs room to stretch his legs and exercise on a regular basis. He loves playing in snow, he is so funny when he gets the zoomies lol. He is just the best!! Gentle giant but protective over his family. He's not the biggest fan of strangers getting too close to us or our home but once they let him sniff them & say hi its fine. I would love to be able to visit him occasionally. But he does need more than I can provide so this must be done. You will love every second with him. He keeps lofe interesting thats for sure. He needs someone with time & energy.

Story
Cooper is a cuddly boy who just wants to snuggle and play with his toys. He is 6 years old. He is a funny and loyal pup who wants to be with the love of his life. Unfortunately, he does not get along with our male dog and would be best as an only dog. It breaks our hearts to rehome him, but he deserves what is best for him. He loves children & due to his size (60lbs) and goofiness,we recommend older children. If you need a best friend then he is your guy.

Story
Waldo is the kind of dog who reminds you that some of the very best relationships are worth taking your time. While the world can feel a little overwhelming to him at first, beneath that cautious exterior is an affectionate, goofy boy with so much love to give. Once Waldo feels safe, his personality begins to shine. He'll happily lean into you for comfort, rest his head—and sometimes even his paws—in your lap, and show off his playful, puppy-like side. He enjoys the quieter pace of life, making him a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates life's simple moments. Waldo thrives when he's given the opportunity to settle in at his own pace. As his confidence grows, so does his personality—and the bond you'll build together is incredibly rewarding. He'll be happiest in a calm, low-traffic home with adults who will continue helping him build confidence through patience, consistency, and kindness. Waldo has also found comfort in the company of larger dogs and may enjoy having a confident canine companion to help show him the ropes. If you're looking for a loyal companion and believe that the best friendships are built on trust, patience, and understanding, Waldo just might be the perfect match. If you are interested in Waldo, please give us a call at (401) 846-8276. For more information about our adoption process, please visit www.potterleague.org.
